Background: Kazé is a profilic manga and anime distributor in France, founded in 1994. They were the first one to do so, during a time where French people showed very few acceptance towards japanese animation and litterature, deeming it as inappropriate for children. The company is owned by Viz Media Europe.

1st logo
(1994-2009)

Kazé 1994

Logo
: A flash occurs into a grey sea, against a grey sky background. The light intensifies, until a red rectangle appears. A red ball also fades in, and while the words "KAZE" zooms out against the ball, the sea disappears with the rectangle. A lens flare can be seen on the logo.

Variant: Later releases includes a link to the Kazé website.

FX/SFX: The sea, the flash and the logo forming

Cheesy Factor
: Very good CGI for the time.

Music/Sounds: Few whooshing sounds, and the sound of the sea.

Availability: Seen on releases from the company at the time.

Scare Factor: Low, depending of what you think of the animation.

2nd logo
(2009-)

Kazé 2009

Logo: On a black background, a red square stretches out. The words "KA" appear from the right side of the shape, then "ZE" from the left side. Both texts disappear from the upper and lower side of the shape, then the square compresses.

FX/SFX: The logo forming.

Cheesy Factor: The animation is much more minimalist than the previous logo, but it's still enjoyable.

Music/Sounds: A droning synth, completed with whooshes.

Availability: Current. Seen on all releases from the company.

Scare Factor: Minimal to low. The fast pace and sound of the logo might get to some.
