(1966-1974)
Logo: We see a multicolored line stretch down on a black background. It then spreads apart to form an abstract butterfly, coloured red, orange, yellow, green, and blue from top to bottom. The butterfly also has a little white circle for a head.
FX/SFX: The stretching...
Cheesy Factor: ...which is a typical 1960's standard. Cel animation was used to create this logo, which makes it look choppy.
Music/Sounds: A descending harp scale with announcer Lloyd Robinson saying "A CBC colour presentation.". In Quebec, an announcer says "Une émission couleur du Radio-Canada.".
Availability: Extremely rare, even in Canada; may be retained at the beginning of programs of the era whenever reran.
Scare Factor: Low. The animation and dark setting and the music might get to some, but this logo is quite modern.
