Screen: On a gray background, we see a dialog box, depending on the variant:
  • NT 3.1/3.51: A white box that reads:
Please wait while the system
writes unsaved data to the disk.
in black. Above it, is a dark blue line with white text reading "Shutdown in Progress" in the center, with a white outline around it. Outside them is a dark blue outline.

  • NT 4.0:Same as the NT 3.1 and 3.51 screens, but the dialog box is narrower, "Shutdown in Progress" is moved to the left, the rectangle is light gray without the text being bold, with the word "writes" next to the word "system", and the dark blue outline is removed. The left and top sides of the dialog box is white, and the bottom and right sides are black.
