Nickname: "Cursive WGTE"

Logo: On a plain white background, we see the lower-case letters "wgte", colored blue, in a rather scratchy cursive font. Below that, "TV TOLEDO" morphs into "PRESENTS".

FX/SFX: "TV TOLEDO" morphing into "PRESENTS".

: None.

Availability: Extinct.

Editor's Note
: None, it's only boring.

2nd Logo
(Late 1980s-1992?)

Logo: On a black-blue gradient background, we see a silver colored PBS logo and a silver "30" next to it. "WGTE TOLEDO" in a typewriter font is seen below.

FX/SFX: It's a still logo, so nothing.

Music/Sounds: A male announcer saying "WGTE, TV 30, Toledo."

Music/Sounds Variant: On the May 1, 1992 episode of The McLaughlin Group, the male announcer says "Discover television worth watching, on WGTE-TV 30. Public television in Toledo.", then a quiet guitar tune.

: Seen as a local ID.

Editor's Note: None

3rd Logo

Logo: On a orange marble background, we see a white text saying "WGTE", another saying "TV30" in dark blue. A dark cyanline is under the text. Below the line is a white text that says "PUBLIC BROADCASTING". A text that says "T O L E D O" is on the bottom.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

: Unknown. But it was seen on a January 22th, 1993 episode of The McLaughlin Group.

Editor's Note: None.

3rd Logo
(2003- )

Logo: On a swirly icterine BG, we see the letters "wgte" in a giant blue Franklin Gothic font with "TV 30" in white under the "te" part. Below is "TOLEDO, OHIO" in white and italicized. As with the 1990 Universal logo, there was a special "Happy 50th Birthday" variant commissioned when this ident was launched. Much like the Universal logo, it shows very brief clips of old various WGTE idents that were used from 1953-2003 (making 50 years) wiping in and out via radar effect, before wiping into the ident we see here.

FX/SFX: The background. The wiping in effects for the birthday variant.

Music/Sounds: Same as the 8th CPB ident. A male announcer says "You're watching WGTE, celebrating 50 years in Toledo." In the 50th anniversary logo, a "beep" sound is heard each time the radar wipe occurs.

Availability: Used as a local ID only.

Editor's Note: TBA.
