1st (known) Logo
(1986-1988)
Symbol Video Productions (80's)

Logo: On a black background (if you look very closely, there's a wave of faint dark blue dots), a spark flashes on the top left corner of the screen. After disappearing, another one flashes in the middle. The top section of the logo flows in like paint until it comes to a stop. The bottom link does the same. When that part finishes, the symbol for the logo so far appears to be a rainbow colored chain with two links (with faint dots wavering all over it). The spark from earlier goes around the inside of the "chains". When that fades, a small green "s" appears. The spark slides up the vacant part of the inside of the symbol. This creates a yellow "s" beside the first one. Below the symbol, the company's name appears. First the "S" appears, then the "Y" followed by "M", "B", "O" and finally "L", then the words "VIDEO PRODUCTIONS"in glowing yellow lettering with same wavering dots all over it, wipes in from the left, then the symbol darkens and brightens back, making dots on it disappear. The finished logo sticks for a few more seconds then quickly fades to a scrolling Greek warning screen.

Variant: On Polish VHS tapes, a shorter version with only one star in the logo is shown and a copyright scroll comes after.

FX/SFX: The forming of the "S", the shine. Pretty good animation for its time.

Music/Sounds: An abridged and altered version of the Fly Video Productions logo theme.

Availability: Seen on old Greek and Polish VHS tapes.

Editor's Note: None.
