1st Logo
(Early-Mid 1980s)

Note: Seen at the start

Nickname: "Rainbow 7K/7<"

Logo: On a black background, we see four lines-- colored green, blue, yellow, and red-- move across the screen from left to right. Then, another set of lines moves toward the top right, followed by another moving toward the top left. This ends with two more sets of lines curving at opposite directions. The camera zooms out to show the lines forming a "7<" with "SEVEN KEYS" below. "PRESENTS" appears below.

Variant: There is one variant where "PRESENTS" is absent from the logo.

FX/SFX: The lines moving, the zoom-out, "PRESENTS" appearing below.

Music/Sounds: A violin stinger (similar to the one in the 1989 PBS logo) with some theremin-like sounds going "bowwww-whoooop-bowwww" as the lines move, ending with a synth stinger.

Music/Sound Variants:
  • Later releases had silence or the movie's theme, oddly enough, probably due to plastering a company's logo.
  • Some tapes have a looping 80s synth-rock ditty, which continues through the following copyright warning.

Availability: Rare; seen on PAL tapes from the period released in Australia and New Zealand.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo
(Mid 1980s-????)

Note: Seen at the 0:10

Nicknames
: "Boring 7K/7<", "Always Entertaining", "Not so Entertaining"

Logo: On a blue background, we see a small white 7K logo just like before at the top of the screen with "SEVEN KEYS VIDEO" below it in a futuristic font. The words "Always Entertaining" are wiped below in a neon -ink script.

FX/SFX: Just the words appearing below.

Music/Sounds: Just the announcer saying "Seven Keys Video. Always entertaining."

Availability: Seen on later Seven Keys tapes.

Editor's Note: None.
