Nicknames: "Logo in Front of Alien", "The Star Trek Logo"

Logo: In a
yellowish orange font, a credit appears as:
A
Desilu
PRODUCTION

IN ASSOCIATION WITH
NORWAY CORPORATION

with "Desilu" appearing in the same style as it's 1952 logo. The logo is superimposed over a scene from the series.

Trivia: Norway was the name of the street that Gene Roddenberry lived on when he was growing up.

Variants:
  • The spacing between the Desilu and Norway credits may differ.
  • During season 2 of Star Trek, the name "Desilu" is replaced by "PARAMOUNT," which appears in the same font as the rest of the text which was still yellow. This was first seen on the episode "The Gamesters of Triskelion."
  • On season 3 of Star Trek, the text is blue.

FX/SFX: The fade in and fade out of the credit.

Music/Sounds: The Star Trek closing theme.

Availability: Can be seen on every episode of Star Trek (with the exception of the pilot episode, "The Cage") on Me-TV and syndication, along with VHS, Betamax, CED, Laserdisc, DVD, and Blu-ray releases from Paramount Home Media Distribution (later as distributor for CBS Home Entertainment).

Editor's Note: None.
