Background: BMG Independents was a subsidiary of Bertelsmann Music Group that distributed low-budget indie movies. It was formed by the late Susan Jackson, who later co-founded Freestyle Releasing.

Logo: On a navy blue/sky blue gradient background, a red triangle with silver edges comes spinning to the middle of the screen from the top-left. Then, the text "BMG", in its corporate font, and a red line fly in underneath the triangle, forming the BMG logo. A shiny silver background flips in behind the logo, and the text "independents" writes itself in underneath the red line, in a cursive font. The logo shines.

FX/SFX: Decent CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: A synth brass theme combined with a brief THX-like whirr, ending in 3 synth piano notes.

Availability: Rare. Might be seen on DVD and VHS releases of films from the company, such as Clockwatchers and A Couch in New York.

Editor's Note: None.
