Background: Al Ahram for Cinema and Video is one of the oldest production companies in Egypt. First established in 1987 by the late Mr. Ibrahim Shawky Salem, its main goal was to produce films, television series, programs and television plays with the highest artistic value possible. The company solely produced more than 120 films between the years 1987 and 1994. It also produced more than 10 television programs within these years and has lately started producing television series, it produced about 50 series.
