Background: Windows is a company owned and operated by Microsoft created in 1983 that distributes computers and operating systems. It is one of the most popular computer brands across America. the person responsible for creating Windows is a man named Bill Gates.

1st logo
(1985-1992)
Nicknames: "Windows 3.1", "Ta-Da", "The First Windows Flag", "The 4 Colors"

Logo: On a blue background, we see a still picture of the then current Windows flag design. the text, "Microsoft Windows", is shown just under the flag.

Trivia: This is the first Windows logo to use a flag. this is also the first to have a startup and shutdownsound

FX/SFX/Cheesy Factor: The font text looks a little bit ugly, and why is it still?

Music/Sounds: a "Ta-Da" sound, which is just two synth notes
-The Shutdown Sound is just a xylophone tune

Availability: Extinct. Appears on Windows 3.1 Computers

Scare Factor: Minimal to low because of the Ta-Da sound. the text might also get to some.

2nd Logo:
(1995-1998)
Nicknames: "Windows 95", "The Flying Flag", "Windows in the Clouds"
Logo: On a cloudy background, we see the same flag from before, as it looks like it's flying through the air. the text (in a different font) Microsoft (in white) Windows (in black) 95 (also in white) appear, again, just under the flag.
Variants:
  • One variant showed exactly the same, only the text "Microsoft Internet Explorer" appears, in black. A Microsoft logo also appears in the top right corner.
  • Another one showed the variant above with "Plus!" (in a fun, blocky font) replacing "Internet Explorer". Unlike the variant above, there is no Microsoft logo at the top right corner.
FX/SFX: Surprisingly, none
Music/Sounds: Two synth chimes, followed by four synth notes. during halfway of the synth notes, there's a beautiful synth flourish-The shutdown sound is oddly the "Ta-Da" startup sound from the first logo!.Music/Sounds Variants: On the plus variant, the shutdown sound is replaced with a synth note, followed by another, and then abeautiful synth tune plays.
Availability: Very rare, as it was 21 years ago that people used Windows 95 computers. as you'd expect, it appears on Windows 95 computers. in order to get Windows 95 plus, you need to download a special CD.
Scare Factor: Low, because of the startup sounds-Shutdown: Low, bordering on medium, as you wouldn't expect the shutdown sound from the previous logo-Plus variant: Minimal to low, bordering on medium. the music may startle some
Nevertheless, this is a favorite of many. but all of those logos above are absolutely nothing, compared to the next logo...

3rd Logo:
