Background: Viacom New Media was a gaming development company based in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Its first game was Dracula Unleashed. In 1997, it was closed.


1st Logo
(1993-1994)

Nickname: "Wigga-Wigga"

Logo: We see the Viacom logo in the "Wigga-Wigga" font with "
NEW MEDIA" in orange under it on the right.

Variants:
  • On Rocko's Modern Life: Spunky's Dangerous Day, the logo slides in from the top and it's on a pink background with objects.
  • On Dracula Unleashed, the logo changed its color from white to red.
  • On the Sega Genesis version of Beavis and Butt-Head, the logo is on a blue background, plus the "NEW MEDIA" text is dark red.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None or the opening theme of the game.

Availability: Seen on Viacom games through the era.


2nd Logo
(1994-1997)

Logo
: On a black background, we see the Viacom "Wigga-Wigga" logo with "
new media" in orange under it with lines under each "e".

Variants:
  • On AAAHH!!! Real Monsters, we see a blue cat walking in from the right. Then Ickis comes in from the left and scares it. Then he walks away. On the Genesis version, Ickis doesn't walk away. Also, they both walk in the same time.
  • On Nickelodeon GUTS, the logo comes in from the bottom right causing the background to flash white.
  • On the SNES port of Zoop, the black Viacom logo is on a white background. Plus, the "new media" text is green. The Sega versions (Game Gear/Genesis) have "Licensed by Sega Enterprises, Ltd." under the logo.
  • On Beavis and Butt-Head in Virtual Stupidty and Star Trek Deep Space 9 - Harbinger, the logo glows in blue.
  • On the PlayStation and Saturn versions of Zoop, the logo is completely white and zooms in from the start.
  • On the Game Gear version of Beavis and Butt-Head, the "new media" text is red.
  • On Phantom 2040, the logo is purple. On the Game Gear version of said game, the logo is on a purple background. In a similar vein to the Sega variants of Zoop (Genesis/Game Gear), the "Licensed by Sega Enterprises, Ltd." byline is under the logo.
  • On the SNES port of Congo: The Secret of Zinj, the white/red logo gradually zooms in.

FX/SFX: Depending on game, but mainly, none.

Music/Sounds: None or the opening theme of the game. On Beavis and Butt-Head in Virtual Stupidity, there is a guitar tune.

3rd Logo
(1997)

Nickname: "Wigga-Wigga III"


Logo
: On a dark blue background, several electrified orbs float by. Then the black Viacom logo in usual font appears. One
of the orbs explode into particles, Viacom New Media (1997)which form pink word "newmedia".

FX/SFX: Simple animation in the logo.

Music/Sounds: Mainly electronic noise.

Availability: Seen on the latest Viacom games. Death Drome and The Divide both have it.
