Background: Treyarch is an American video game developer company that was founded in 1996 by Peter Akemann and Doğan Köslü
to develop games. It didn't have a logo until 1998. On October 3, 2001, it was acquired by Activision. It's known for Call of Duty series (along with Infinity Ward) and was known for Spider-Man titles. Its first game was Die by the Sword for PC.


1st Logo
(1998-1999)

Nicknames: "The Treyarch Trefoil Knot", "Blue Trefoil Knot", "Treyarch Knot"

Logo: On a black background, we see a blue left-handed trefoil knot which is in 3D style and almost resembles a triquetra symbol.
Treyarch (1998) Under it is the word "TREYARCH" in yellow-orange with "T" bigger than the rest of the letters.

Trivia: This is Treyarch's first official logo.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The opening theme of the game.

Availability: Seen on Die by the Sword and its expansion, Die by the Sword: Limb from Limb for PC.

2nd Logo
(2000-2001)

Nicknames: "The Shiny Treyarch Trefoil Knot", "Blue Trefoil Knot II", "Treyarch Knot II"

Logo: We see the same Treyarch trefoil knot from the previous logo, but the back 3D parts are not there and there is a blue shiny glow on the right part of it. The word "TREYARCH" which is in a different font this time, is in black, Treyarch (2000)has a white outline and has a blue glow around it.

Trivia:
This is Treyarch's second official logo. However, the logo (without the glow) was still used on the game's cover art (while some of the later games themselves use a variant of a 3rd official logo) until 2006.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: A virtual-like sound or silent.

Availability: Seen on Draconus: Cult of the Wyrm (known as Dragon's Blood in the UK) and Max Steel: Convert Missions for Sega Dreamcast.

3rd Logo (THPS Demo Variant)
(2000)

Nicknames: "The Matrix Styled Logo", "Blue Trefoil Knot III", "Matrix-Styled Trefoil Knot", "Treyarch Knot III"

Logo: We see the blue Treyarch trefoil knot with "TREYARCH" in front of it in a different font. There are very few bubbles around the logo and has a glow around it. Also it has The Matrix-styled effect. Treyarch (2000) (THPS Demo Variant)

Trivia: This is Treyarch's first custom logo.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on the demo version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (
which is found on the July/August 2000 Issue of Official Dreamcast Demo Disc) for Dreamcast.

4th Logo (THPS/THPS2 Variant)

Nicknames: "The Graffiti Styled Logo", "Graffiti Styled Trefoil Knot", "Treyarch Knot IV", "The Graffiti Treyarch Knot"

Logo: We see the Treyarch trefoil knot in grafiiti style with the orange-yellow gradient outline tilted facing northeast. On it, we see "Treyarch" in a Graffiti styled font with a green outline. Under "
Treyarch" is the Treyarch (2000)website URL "www.treyarch.com". The logo flashes orange and green colors. Then parts of colors appear side-by-side. Then it flashes again. Then the colors disappear in a snake transition.

Trivia: This is Treyarch's second custom logo.


FX/SFX: The animation in the logo.

Music/Sounds: A hip-hop music with the man saying "Get Down" at the beginning.

Availability: Appears on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 for Dreamcast. Also appears on the demo of the latter (found on December 2000 issue of Official Dreamcast Magazine demo disc)

5th Logo
(2001)

Nicknames: "The Shiny Metal Trefoil Knot", "Treyarch Knot V", "Metal Treyarch Knot", "Silver Treyarch Knot"

Logo: We see a new design of the Treyarch trefoil, which now is colored silver, doesn't have the cut outs and has few white shines around it. Under it is "TREYARCH" in a new font which later resembles a Spider-Man movie-like font and has the emboss effect.

Trivia
: This is Treyarch's third official logo.

FX/SFX: The shining of the logo.

Music/Sounds: A heavy-sounding synthesized drone and computer beeps with a shining sound.

Availability: Seen on Spider-Man (the 2000 game) for Dreamcast (although on the game's copyright screen has the text part from the 2nd logo). It also surprisingly appears on PC and Mac versions of the game.

6th Logo (THPS2x Variant)
(2001)

Nicknames: "The 3D Blue Logo", "Blue Treyarch Knot IV", "CGI Blue Treyarch Knot", "Treyarch Knot VI," "CGI Treyarch Knot"

Logo: On a black background, the black and white smudged-styled parts of the logo come in side-by-side and attach
themselves forming the logo. A few seconds later, it shatters down to reveal the blue 3D version of the logo. Then Treyarch (2001) (THPS2x Variant)"TREYARCH" pans down turning as the Treyarch trefoil knot zooms through us rotating.

Trivia: This is a first variant of Treyarch's 2nd official logo.

FX/SFX: Cool CGI and shattering effects.

Music/Sounds: An irritating sound, which is something between rustle and radio noise, then followed by loud shattering as the 3D version of the logo reveals and ends with a wind blowing sound as the logo zooms through.

Availability: Seen on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2x for Xbox.

Logo: We see a steelbluering on a icy ground. Then it shakes and flips up. Then it flips the sides of it becoming the Treyarch trefoil knot. When that happens, it shines. As the Treyarch Knot zooms back, the icy ground
disappears and the golden "TREYARCH", appears zooming out and stops under the logo.

Trivia: This is a second variant of Treyarch's 2nd official logo.


FX/SFX: The ring turning into the trefoil knot, the text appearing.

Music/Sounds: A heavy-sounding synthesized drone with sounds of circle turning into a trefoil knot and shining.

: On a black background
we see a silver Treyarch trefoil knot, zooming-out quickly through us and into the red spiderweb. The trefoil knot sticks itself into the web and shakes a little. Then the spiderweb fades out. As the trefoil knot dissolves in a blur transition, the word "TREYARCH", appears flipping in side-by-side. Then the blue light travels through the logo.

Trivia: This is a first variant of Treyarch's 3rd official logo.


FX/SFX: The logo sticking into the web, the text appearing.

Music/Sounds: Another styled virtual-like sound with the sound of the webbing as the logo zooms into the web. The shiny flipping sound as the text appears.

Availability: Appears on Spider-Man: The Movie and Spider-Man 2 for GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Also appears on the PC version of the former title.

9th Logo (KSPS Variant)
(2002)

Logo
: The Treyarch logo (in the same look as the 5th logo, but the text is shifted up closer), appears in the water with some ripple effects. As the logo stops rippling and settles into it's position, the water background fades into the spotlight like background with the logo shadow's behind it. The logo shines and then the background with it's shadow fades into white
. Then the logo fades out Treyarch (2002)into white a brief second later.

Trivia: This is a second variant of Treyarch's 3rd official logo.


FX/SFX: Water ripple animation.

Music/Sounds: Water sounds.

Availability: Appears on Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer for GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Also appears on the PC version as well.

10th Logo (NHL 2K3 Variant)
(2002)

Nicknames: "Freezing Treyarch Knot", "Treyarch Knot X", "Blue Treyarch Knot VI", "The Snowmobiler"

Logo: We see the top view of the ice floor which has the Treyarch logo (Which this time, the Treyarch knot is blue and has the white and blue outlines around it and the word "TREYARCH" is seen under but it's in a Art-Deco like Treyarch (2002)font, which also have the white and blue outlines around it as well) covered with ice. Then the Zamboni (with the SuperCool design) appears driving from the bottom and going up, revealing the logo. After that, the logo starts to glow via the ray effect and the screen flashes causing the logo to have the emboss shining effect and the background to become plain black. The logo shines as the rays dim away.

Trivia: This is Treyarch's third custom logo.

FX/SFX: The Zamboni driving, the logo flashing and shining.

Music/Sounds: It's the sound of the buzzer at the beginning. Then as Zamboni appears, the low-toned virtual-like sound plays for the rest of the logo along with the swift-like effect when the logo flashes.

: A light splash draws the metal-silver Treyarch knot. Then the letters rotate and become visible one-after-one

: We zoom through a blue space full of rectangles, when Spider-Man comes on a web and jumps into the screen, where the box appears. There is a
Treyarch (2005)blue Treyarch knot next to the character, and words "A TREYARCH GAME" in a Century Gothic Bold font with "TREYARCH" in it's corporate font, written below each in the single box. The logo then clears out by zooming through.

Trivia: This is a fourth variant of Treyarch's 3rd official logo and a first variant featuring Spider-Man.

FX/SFX: Spider-Man moving over the logo.

Music/Sounds: The action-type music which finishes after the logo forms.

Logo: Starting above the ground surface, we see it slowly zooming out and many projectiles fly around as there is a war
. Then the rocket hits right below, making everything blow up in fire. It reveals giant crater made by the explosion, with the Treyarch logo inside, first orange from burning, then becoming black.

Trivia: This is a fifth variant of Treyarch's 3rd official logo.

FX/SFX: Fire flying and the explosion.

Logo
: We can see close images of the yellow trefoil knot (partially), running Spider-Man and his spider image suit
. He releases the web and jumps around, making the trefoil knot fully shown, as if it have been Treyarch (2007)created from the web blasts. The logo then becomes silver as the word "TREYARCH" appears under the logo.

Trivia: This is a seventh variant of Treyarch's 3rd official logo and a second variant featuring Spider-Man

FX/SFX: The logo animation, including the character, completely rendered in CGI.

Music/Sounds: A kind of action movie music with some sounds of Spider-Man releasing the web.

Availability: Appears on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions of Spider-Man 3.

Logo: On a dark blue gradient background, we see the blue Treyarch knot emerging light, rotating slowly to the right and trembling violently in the process. Then metallic letters of "TREYARCH", fly and place themselves over the knot. After the text forms, the knot fades out. The red circle with the knot appears near to the text, which itself changes to red while the background fades out.

Trivia: This is an eighth variant of Treyarch's 3rd official logo.

FX/SFX: CGI animation of the Treyarch knot rumbling and rotating and the text flying in.

Music/Sounds: Sounds of air and metallic jingle.

17th Logo (Quantum of Solace Variant)
(2008)

Nicknames: "Treyarch Knot XVII", "The New Treyarch Knot", "Metal Treyarch Knot VI", "Silver Treyarch Knot VI"

Logo: The logo starts after Activision animation proceeds. We move above the colored surface, and there are lines in the sky. The Treyarch logo forms Treyarch (2008)on the ground, with the metallic knot having an orange outline with "treyarch" in a new stylized font called Republika, next to it.

Trivia: This is Treyarch's 4th official logo and is the first variant.

FX/SFX: The logo appearing.

Music/Sounds: The music from 007 movies.

Availability: Appears on 007: The Quantum of Solace.

: We see many changing pictures of war chronicles. The movie is made as an old footage - it's grayscale and it trembles
. We can briefly see the 4th Treyarch logo (but the text is under the logo), then it Treyarch (2008)appears in full view and zooms out, changing then to Activision logo.

Trivia: This is the second variant of Treyarch's 4th official logo.

FX/SFX: Mainly CGI.

Music/Sounds: At the beginning, it's the music, Requiem by Mozart with the sounds of s
ound of machine gun, the film projector and war marches. At the second half, it's a long choir with still some more sounds of a film projector.

: Again, like in the previous logo, the footage is based on a pictures of warfare chronicles, mainly secret documents, until we can see the following words on them: "A Treyarch Production" with "Treyarch" bigger. Then
Treyarch (2010)the silver knot appears. The Activision logo with helicopters go after this.

Trivia: This is a third variant of Treyarch's 4th official logo.

FX/SFX: Logo made in CGI.

Music/Sounds: Sounds of electronic, paper folding and others collected together.
