Background: Studios Idefix was the brainchild of French comic creators René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo best known for their comic strip Asterix, along with publisher Georges Dargaud. It was founded in 1974 and went defunct in 1977 following Goscinny's sudden death from a heart attack. The studio only made two feature films so far: The 12 Tasks of Asterix featuring Goscinny and Uderzo's beloved character, and La Ballade des Dalton, featuring Goscinny and Morris's cowboy Lucky Luke. The logo is a spoof of the MGM logo, featuring in place of the lion, the studio's namesake mascot, Idefix (Dogmatix in English), the adorable pet dog of Asterix's sidekick, Obelix.

Nicknames: "Idefix/Dogmatix The Dog", "MGM Spoofed Logo", Another Ripoff of the MGM Logo
Logo: On a red background, we see the similar Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer filmstrips, but we see that the circle is sorrounded by two branches of laurel. The filmstrips of the bottom has the phrase "DELIRANT INTI ROMANII" [Latin for "These romans are crazy"] inscribed at the top and at the bottom is a marquee that reads "STUDIOS IDÉFIX". Inside the circle, we see a blue background, and suddenly we see Idéfix (Obélix's dog) running staggered toward. After, we see Idéfix jumping to the "INTI" filmreel and sits. Finally, Idéfix barks.

Availability: Very rare, because it was seen only on two movies. The 12 Tasks of Asterix last aired on Nicktoons in the UK around 2004. However, it seems that at least the French DVD version of La Ballade des Dalton retains it. Also, the Spanish DVD version of The 12 Tasks of Asterix retains the logo.
