Logo descriptions by MattBr

Background: Star Theatres operated solely in Michigan, beginning operations in 1985 with a single location in Rochester Hills, eventually growing to encompass 10 locations, their largest being a 20-screen site in Southfield and a 25-screen site at the Great Lakes Crossing mall in Auburn Hills. Loews Theatres would eventually purchase a share in
Star Theatres before ultimately having complete ownership of the company by 2002, but retained the Star Theatres nameplate until Loews was merged into AMC Theatres.
