Background: Sega Technical Institute was an internal studio of Sega based in United States. It was closed in 1997 after the Sonic X-Treme fiasco, and some of the staff went to Luxoflux.

Nicknames: "The Lightbulb", "The Sega Lightbulb", "The STI Lightbulb"

Logo
: Against a white background, there is a black box with a working lightbulb inside, emitting several electric zaps. Under the box, we see "SEGA TECHNICAL INSTITUTE" written in three lines with "
SEGA" bigger than the rest of the letters. The whole logo is outlined with red border. The words, "A" and "Production" are shown above and below the logo respectively.

Variant:
On The Ooze, The logo is green and made out of green ooze against the ground background . Plus, "A" and "Production" are not there.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The opening theme of the game.
