Background: The Panasonic M2 was once avideo game consoledesign developed by3DObut then was sold to P A N A S O N I C, a company known outside Japan by the brandPanasonic. Originally announced as anadd-onchip for the3DO Interactive Multiplayer, it was later unveiled to be a standalone console. The console itself was cancelled in 1997, but the M2 technology was later incorporated into other devices.
