1st Logo
(1987-November 6, 2012)

<img align="bottom" alt="Nest Entertainment Logo" height="193" src="http://image.wikifoundry.com/image/0/YON-9JF28QgpitwcnJbIag230454/GW257H193" title="Nest Entertainment Logo" width="257"/><img align="bottom" alt="Nest Family Entertainment (1998)" height="193" src="http://image.wikifoundry.com/image/1/2wpQpWteloDtgjTM8NF66w51933/GW321H193" title="Nest Family Entertainment (1998)" width="321"/><img align="bottom" alt="Nest Family (2012)" height="191" src="http://image.wikifoundry.com/image/1/baX-8KJj7klA5_bEL8o-ZQ23566/GW343H191" title="Nest Family (2012)" width="343"/>

Nicknames: "The Gold Nest", "Because It All Begins at Home"

Logo: On a black background, we see several gold bars forming a nest over the screen. Then the word "NEST" slides in over it and takes its place at the bottom of the screen as a gradient shade of green fades in. The logo and its name shine.

Variants:
  • There is another version of the logo, used on later releases. The animation is improved, except at the end, the logo zooms out as the tagline "Because it all begins at home" appear below it, in script. The background is black here, and the color is goldenrod.
    • On some videos, The logo would animate as usual, but does not zoom out, show the tagline and the® symbol was replaced by the TM symbol.
    • Also on some videos, The logo would still zoom out after the animation finishes but the tagline is omitted.
  • This logo exists in filmed and videotaped versions.

FX/SFX: The formation of the nest.

Music/Sounds: A majestic fanfare with various twinkles and whooshes composed by Lex de Azevedo. On the original VHS release of The Swan Princess, it's silent. On some videos, there exists a different fanfare with reused twinkles and whooshes.

Availability: The 1st version is seen on The King is Born and U.S VHS/DVD/Blu-Ray/Netflix releases of The Swan Princess, while the R2 DVD releases have the films original New Line Cinema logo (the latter only had theatrical distribution rights,
while Nest holds video rights through Columbia TriStar/Sony Pictures Home Entertainment). The latter version can be seen on The Swan Princess 2 and 3, and made its last appearance on The Swan Princess Christmas. Also seen on Animated Hero Classics on BYU TV, and Tricky People.

Editor's Note: TBA.

Nicknames: "Amateur Nest", "Boring Nest"

Logo: On a white background, three black twigs fall from the top, then "NEST" letters zoom from the left side. The copyright mark rolls and bumps the logo, then "Family" fades in and the green leaf pops up on the twig.
