These are the logo variations seen on trailers throughout the years by Columbia Pictures.


Tootsie (1982): On the TV Spot at the end, the 1981 logo has with the MPAA "PG" rating and the copyright info on the background as well. Also, The company name is removed.

Texasville (1990): Exactly the same as The Last Picture Show variant.

My Girl (1991): The 1981 Columbia Torch Lady is wearing a Santa hat and it's snowing on the logo. This was only used on TV spots for the film.

Year of the Comet (1992): The camera zooms in on the 1981 logo and fades into the Scottish Highlands.

Last Action Hero (1993):
The 1942 logo is used.

Striking Distance (1993): The logo gets flashed by electric ray.

The American President (1995): The logo is zoomed and boxed in than usual.

Multiplicity (1996): The Torch Lady splits herself twice. One on the lower-left and the other on the lower-right. Only appeared on the TV spot.

Men in Black (1997): The Torch Lady flashes away.

The Replacement Killers (1998): The Logo directly shrinks & zooms out. Only in Theatrical Trailer

On the TV Spot, The Logo flashes two times.

Blue Streak (1999): It starts off with a close-up of the torch, then a far shot of the Torch Lady, a shot of the torch and the head. Then it goes to the complete logo with the "COLUMBIA" and Sony byline. It turns blue and stretches out.

Stuart Little (1999): The Logo fades to Little Family's house outside of streets of New York City. Only on Theatrical Trailer.

Vertical Limit (2000): The logo flickers like on a problematic screen. on the UK VHS Version of "The 6th Day" previews, it's the same variant and it is in open-matted.

What Planet Are You From? (2000):
Some of the Nebula clouds fly in on the logo which later fades out a second later.

Hollow Man (2000): The logo turns icy. On the one TV Spot, the logo speeds in warp.

The Wedding Planner (2001):
The Torch Lady is dressed in a bride's wedding dress, she's holding a bouquet, and the pedestal is decorated.

Spider-Man (2002):After the scene of Lower Manhattan skyline of New York City crossfades to logo, The logo has no company name and byline. Seen on one version of the trailer (the Second Teaser Trailer of the movie).

On the Teaser Trailer, the logo zooms and Torch lady's torch flashes back to beginning of the logo and flashing to the bank robbery scene.

On the Trailer Preview version, The logo disappears in a second and fades out.

Men in Black II (2002): The Torch Lady wears the trademark Men in Black sunglasses. Also, the logo's color is different and much brighter than normal.

On the Teaser Trailer, When the logo is done, it reverses to beginning and fades to Space.

I Spy (2002):
The logo flashes white twice. Then, it flashes blue and four screens showing the logo are seen for a split-second before turning back to normal.

Identity (2003): The logo is in the midst of a torrential downpour and lightning strikes twice during the logo. Only on the teaser trailer.

The logo is light-blue colored.

Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003): The Torch Lady blurs and blows up to the Dimension Films logo. It zooms back slightly, then fades out.

The Missing (2003):
The Torch Lady's background turns into a dark forest. The "COLUMBIA" and Sony byline disappears with a silhouette of the Torch Lady. It fades to black with the Revolution Studios logo.

Bewitched (2005):
The clouds are white and the camera pans to the right of the logo and end up in the clouds.

The logo starts to turn foggy and the Revolution Studios logo is placed on a black background for a few seconds until fading away to a lake.

Superbad (2007): Same as the movie itself, but it's sped up and it's bylineless. On one TV Spot, Same variant with Sony Byline.

The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep (2007): The 1993 Columbia Torch Lady is wearing a Santa hat and it's snowing on the logo.

Spider-Man 3 (2007): The 1993 logo turns diagonally to reveal Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson lying down on a web.

On the TV Spots and One Featurette, The background turns to grey while the text "COLUMBIA" gets symbioted. On one TV Spot, it's the same variant and the camera zooms out to Black Suit Spider-Man's left eye.

The logo is animated in reverse and in warp speed. Only seen on the TV spot.

The Green Hornet (2011): It's exactly the same as the 2012 variant, but the lens flare is tinted in asparagus.

Men in Black 3 (2012): The Torch Lady wears the trademark Men in Black sunglasses, her torch is replaced with a neuralyzer, the byline fades in early, and the logo is darker with a blue tint.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012): The logo is in a shade of gray, and there is a web behind the Torch Lady's torch. Plus, the SPE byline is slightly bigger, and is shifted up.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018): Exactly like Blade Runner 2049, the logo is in red in black background, in a second, it dissolves to Sony Pictures Animation logo. Only in Teaser Trailer.

On the TV Spots, the logo is in white on the city skyline, On one TV Spot, the logo is in Black & White on New York City Skyline while Spider-Man Jumps off the crane.

The Front Runner (2018): The 1981-1993 logo is used with the "a Sony Company" byline and it's Exactly like The Night Before.

The logo is flickered on the TV before it changes to BRON logo. Only in Official Trailer.
