Background: Lightning Pictures was sub-label of Vestron Pictures and started with the same purpose of the Lightning Video label and ran by Lawrence Kasanoff.

(June 1987-1989)

Nickname: "Still Lightning"

Logo: On a black background. there is a sky blue box made of numerous thin rods and crossed with black lightning. Two words, also sky blue, are seen above and below the box, saying "LIGHTNING" and "PICTURES", respectively.Lightning Pictures (1988)

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: Usually silent.

Availability: Extremely rare. Appears on VHS releases of Blood Diner and You Can't Hurry Love. This is intact on VUDU's print of the latter after the 2005 Lionsgate logo. Look for either a Lightning Video or Vestron Video tape of a film that has the Lightning Pictures on the box and it should be there. On the DVD of Blood Diner, released part of the Horror Movie Collection - 6 Movie Pack by Lionsgate, both this and the Vestron Pictures logos have been plastered over by the Artisan logo, although the Lightning Pictures logo is seen on the packaging. It is unknown if the recent Blu-Ray of Blood Diner or if DVD prints of You Can't Hurry Love preserve this logo.
