Background: Family Home Entertainment Kids was a speciality brand of Family Home Entertainment for kids-only releases on video.

Nicknames: "The Doghouse", "FHE Kids"
Logo: First, we see a crudely drawn doghouse on a white background. A dog with a collar starts walking on the right side of the doghouse, sniffing the ground. The dog then walks in the doghouse. As this happens, The "f.h.e." in the familiar script introduced in 1985 fades in below (colored green, red, and blue respectively). The dog then peeks out with a bone in his mouth and barks (dropping his bone on the "e", of which it bounces off, in the process), then a red speech bubble with a black outline and "kids" on it appears next to the dog. The dog looks down and watches his bone fall to the ground. The words "FAMILY HOME ENTERTAINMENT" in Trajan Pro appears below "fhe". The dog blinks a bit.
Variants:
FX/SFX: The dog walking, barking, and dropping his bone.
Music/Sounds: A pizzicato string tune with flutes, followed by the dog's bark and a "thoomp" sound. Sometimes the logo is silent, with or without the bark.
Availability: Uncommon. It appears on mostly releases from 1998 to 2002, such as Baby Einstein video releases, until Disney took over, along with the first season of the 1987 series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on VHS. Also seen on The Tangerine Bear (including Netflix & CN airings) and Crayola and Hallmark VHS tapes. Was also spotted on a few Clifford the Big Red Dog tapes and some DVDs from the Care Bears: The Original Series Collection set.

The doghouse has no hole at first, but then a white square stretches out, the dog's head pops out of the doghouse, and the initials write themselves in (but the "e" is purple). The dog moves a bit as the red speech bubble with "kids" in it fades in, and the words "FAMILY HOME ENTERTAINMENT" fade in.
- For its later years a byline that says "AN ARTISAN ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY" fades in below.
