Editions by V of Doom, Shadeed A. Kelly, BluTheParrot, HiddenResearcher, and zman1997

1st Logo
(Spring 1984-November 17, 1985)

Logo: On a dark blue space background that zooms away slowly, we see "MADE FOR VIDEO!", tilted, colored orange, and against some stripes. It "rolls" <img align="right" alt="Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment - CLG Wiki" height="175" src="http://image.wikifoundry.com/image/1/WuT3mSwBQResF6VYgLYtYg35631/GW233H175" title="Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment - CLG Wiki" width="233"/>backward, and the title logo for the special rotates into place, colored lime green. "Produced for" appears below, then it fades out as the title rotates away, making room for a flying Disney Channel logo (in blue) on top and a flying Walt Disney Home Video logo in red on the bottom, with the word "and" fading in.

FX/SFX: Basic 80s animation.

Music/Sounds: A slightly different re-orchestration of the fanfare from the "Neon Mickey" Walt Disney Home Video logo.

Availability: Extremely rare. It's seen only several direct-to-video specials, including Welcome to Pooh Corner: Too Smart for Strangers, Where the Toys Come From, Robert Louis Stevenson's Black Arrow, The Blue Yonder, and Five Mile Creek. Its first known appearance was on Tiger Town and the first three volumes of Animal Quiz.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo
(1995-1997)

<img align="right" alt="Disney Channel Originals (1995)" height="175" src="http://image.wikifoundry.com/image/3/ejM9JrZNnkc9bnbK3jPMgA36125/GW233H175" title="Disney Channel Originals (1995)" width="233"/>Logo: On a black background, we see the words "The DiSNEY Channel" with "DiSNEY" in Walt Disney's signature font and the rest in the Times New Roman font.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Extremely rare. It was seen on some episodes of Groundling Marsh, which is pretty hard to find. It might be seen on the Lyrick Studios VHS releases of the series, but it's unlikely.

Editor's Note: None.

Nicknames
: "Dancing Mickey", "Mickey Television Tube"

Logo: Over a background of concentric circles coming from the center (and claymated), we see Mickey Mouse dancing inside the Disney Channel logo of the era that features a black television set with Mickey Mouse ears at the top, with the white Disney logo inside and "CHANNEL" below. Sometimes, the white "In Association with" text is shown above, set in Triplex Sans, and sometimes, the background pattern varies.

Trivia: This was based off Disney Channel's branding used from 1997 until 2000. The animation of Mickey Mouse dancing is taken from the Disney cartoon Thru the Mirror(1936). The alternate purple Mickey animation is taken from Mickey's Follies (1929). Also, this logo and many of its variants were designed and produced at Lee Hunt Associates.

Variants:
  • On some shows, the website URL "<a class="external" href="http://www.disney.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.disney.com</a>" is shown below.
  • The first episode of Bug Juicefeatured a slightly different design. In this, "In Association With" is in black, set in Gill Sans, "CHANNEL" is in a slightly larger and different font, the Disney Channel logo is more bigger and not centered in the center of the screen. Also, the URL for Disney's website is more harder to see and Mickey isn't seen in mid-animation dancing but rather in a still pose for a second before he starts to animate.
  • On season two of Bug Juice, the first two seasons of So Weird, and all Disney Channel Original Movies from 1998-2000, the background is a blue aurora that almost appears to be swirling with white sparks coming from behind the logo like a burst of fireworks and a purple aurora blurry ring.
  • Some co-produced series would carry the text "In Association With" above the logo.
  • On Zoog Disney, Mickey is replaced with Browser.
  • There is a variant where the background is a Columbia Pictures 1976 "Sunburst"-like background and a dark red banner reading "Vault Disney" is seen above the logo, which has the word "CHANNEL" below. An alternate Mickey is also used here, in which he's outlined entirely in purple and does a different dance animation.
  • Sometimes, there was no word "CHANNEL".
  • On early episodes of Disney Channel in Concert, there is a variant in which is on a purple background with a texture similar to fabric with four yellow circles near the Disney Channel logo. The alternative purple Mickey animation is also used here, and the word "CHANNEL" is also in a different font.
  • One variant had a different Mickey animation (also from Thru the Mirror) in which he's balancing a cane on his nose. The background for this variant was a series of black outlined overlapping circles, which came in white, yellow, or aqua-green color.
FX/SFX: The animating background and Mickey Mouse dancing.

Music/Sounds: A synth-disco jingle, based on Disney Channel's old jingle at the time, or the end theme of the show or TV movie.

Music/Sounds Variants:
  • On Playhouse Disney shows, a xylophone arrangement of the theme is used instead.
  • On season two of Bug Juice, some episodes of The Making Of... , and the DCOM The Color of Friendship, there is a tribal arrangement of the theme.
  • The "Vault Disney" version has an upbeat, jazzy rendition of the theme (which was also used on "coming up next" bumpers for the block).
  • The first season of Bug Juicefeatures the scream from the Evolution logo before it trailing over this logo and it being silent for the rest of the duration of the logo. Some The Making Of...episodes also had this variant.
Availability: Rare. It appeared on Out of the Box, PB&J Otter, Amazing Animals, Bug Juice, Rolie Polie Olie, and Mad Libs. None of these shows (except PB&J Otter and Rolie Polie Olie, which are currently airing reruns on Disney Junior, but it's plastered by the 2011 Disney Junior logo) are currently reran (especially Mad Libs, which has long since faded into obscurity), and any shows that had this logo were plastered over with either the 2002 Disney Channel logo or the Playhouse Disney logo. However, the DVD release of Rolie Polie Olie: Olie's Winter Wonderland, as well as other Playhouse Disney and DCOM releases from the time, have this logo intact. The So Weird variant is rare and short-lived because it was plastered over with the 4th logo. However, it's intact on most season 1 and 2 episodes on the Disney+ streaming service. It can currently be seen on Halloweentown on the Halloweentown Double Feature DVD. The "Vault Disney" variant can be found on a Bedknobs and Broomsticks documentary special called Music Magic: The Sherman Brothers, which can be found on a Blu-Ray Disc of Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

Editor's Note: This logo is a memorable favorite for those who watched Disney Channel programs in the 1990s.

Nicknames
: "The Hip-Hop Logo", "Mickey Television Tube II", "Grungy Color-Changing Mickey Television Tube"

Logo: Over a psychedelic purple background, we see "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" in white. It fades out and zooms in and the 1999 Disney Channel logo (which is the same one from last time, but has a "grunge" style and
shifts colors and patterns.) zooms in purple."DiSNEY", in the familiar trademark font, pops out of the logo when it stops. There is a "ghost" of the logo in front of it.

Variants:
  • On some shows and original movies, it omits the words "IN ASSOCIATION WITH", so we start with the Disney Channel logo zooming in. In this version, the logo starts with a camouflage-like pattern instead of purple.
  • On French dubs of their shows, the "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" text is in French and now says "EN ASSOCIATION AVEC".
  • A print version of the logo on a white background was spotted on The Santa Clause Brothers.
FX/SFX: The logo zooming-in and changing colors.

Music/Sounds: Either the end theme of the show, or a hip-hop/rock jingle containing a male's voice saying "Yeah!", followed by two distorted record scratches that almost sound like "All right!" or "Hey, hey!". The short version just has the latter half of the "Yeah!" sounder followed by the record scratches.

Music/Sounds Trivia: An extended version of the logo's audio can be heard on some bumpers Disney Channel used at the time. <a href="https://youtu.be/jR344qn0s88?t=5" target="_self">This is one example.</a>

Music/Sounds Variants:
  • On the 2005 Classroom Edition DVD of The Color of Friendship, this logo plasters over the previous logo. If you listen closely when the logo cuts to black, you can hear the last note of the tribal arrangement from the previous logo! The same movie on Disney+ has the audio play completely over the logo.
  • On the Disney+'s print of Zenon the Zequel, the logo has the audio of the low-pitched 2007 Disney Channel logo.

Availability: Rare.It was first used on Stepsister from Planet Weirdand Even Stevenswhich both premiered on June 17, 2000. It was kept intact onHalloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge on the Halloweentown Double Feature DVD, and Disney Channel airings of Stepsister from Planet Weird, the Lizzie McGuire episode "Night of the Day of the Dead", and the Even Stevens episode "The Thomas Gribalski Affair" keep this logo intact, but good luck trying to find this logo on other episodes, as it's plastered over by the 6th logo. However, it is still found on those said shows when aired on Disney XD Canada and Family Channel respectively. It also appears on The Book of Pooh: Fun with Words and Fun with Friends on VHS, and oddly not a Playhouse Disney logo. This logo was used in tandem with the 6th logo, as it was seen on the Even Stevens episode "Leavin' Stevens" which aired in June 2003 and The Proud Family episode "Surf and Turf" which aired that same year. It was intact on Disney Channel USA airings of Kim Possible until January 2003, which it was intact on the episode "Crush" as a bonus feature on the Kim Possible: The Secret Files DVD. Surprisingly, this appeared on a recent Disney Channel Denmark airing of the That's so Raven episode "Escape Claus".

Editor's Note: A rather simple logo, but still quite memorable for those who grew up with Disney Channel during this period.

5th Logo
(January 7-November 11, 2002)

Nickname: "Splats"

Logo: On a white background, we see three splats that look like Mickey Mouse's head. Two of the splats are red, and the other is blue. Under it, we see the words "Disney Channel", with "Disney" in Walt Disney's signature font, and The Media Merchants logo. Copyright info is below.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Extremely rare. It's seen on the localized French version of Art Attack. It only lasted for one season, so it's pretty hard to find.

Editor's Note: None.

Nicknames: "The Mickey Head", "Shiny Mickey Head", "The Banner"

Logo: Over a black background, we see blue pixie dust flying from the bottom of the screen to the center, causing a flash that sends several blue Mickey Mouse head outlines towards the viewer, which turns the background into a cloudy sky. The pixie dust circles around the flash, which becomes a Mickey Mouse head that happens to be Disney Channel's logo, filled with watery white coloring, a blue outline around it, and the "DiSNEY CHANNEL" text in black with "DiSNEY" in it's corporate font. The logo comes closer to the viewer as it wobbles to its normal position on the bottom left as a blue banner reading
"OrIGInaL" in white pops up around the logo. As the logo continues to wobble, the pixie dust moves offscreen, leaving behind a trail of pixie dust. It then reappears and moves from behind the logo to the top, leaving another trail.

Variants:
  • There is a more common short version starting with the wobble.
  • On Life with Derek, "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" is above the logo.
  • On U.S airings of Naturally Sadie, "a Decode Entertainment production in association with" is above the logo.
  • On current prints of Lizzie McGuire, due to the logo plastering the 2000 logo, it's more sped-up.
  • On some Disney Channel Original Movies from 2004-2006 and HD prints of them, the logo is zoomed in.
  • On Disney Channel live: El concierto, the logo jarringly zooms out to reveal itself animating like usual, and when the logo fades out, it starts to animate in reverse.
  • On some international versions of the original movie Pixel Perfect, the logo isn't only cropped but the colors are brighter than usual.
  • On the international versions of Twitches and Buffalo Dreams, the logo is COMPLETELY cropped to where only the right side of the logo is shown.
  • There is a version with a copyright notice saying "(C) 2007 Disney Channel UK".
  • On the French dub of The Cheetah Girls 2, the logo is in black and white.
  • On international prints of High School Musical, the logo could be in widescreen and cut very short.
  • On the Australian version of As the Bell Rings, the logo was recreated in which the logo is slightly faster, the cloud background is different than the original, and the logo has an extremely cheaper appearance to it (almost as if it was made in Blender in a few minutes).
  • A variant exist where "ORIGINAL" was replaced with "DISNEYCHANNEL.COM". Here, the banner moves slightly different and is placed more lower.
FX/SFX: Everything in the logo from the flying pixie dust and the flash to the Mickey Mouse outline head popping up.

Music/Sounds: Several drumbeats, which segue into a ska punk theme with electric guitars and a horn section, the last four notes of which became Disney Channel's signature jingle. The tune sounds rather similar to that of "The Impression That I Get" by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. There is also a shorter version.

Music/Sounds Variants:
  • On seasons 2-3 of That's So Raven, we hear the 4th logo's music, except the "Yeah!" is extended. On Hannah Montana, Cory in the House, and season 4 of That's So Raven, the short version of the 4th logo's music is used.
  • On some prints on someThat's So Raven episodes, one example being "Driven to Insanity", a split second of the 4th logo's music can be heard and it then abruptly cuts to the regular theme of this logo.
Availability: The long version is extinct, but the short version is uncommon. It appears on reruns of some of Disney Channel's shows from the era. It started plastering the previous two logos on shows starting around January 2003.The long variant used to appear before their shows on TV until August 2006, and iTunes prior to 2010. The version with the copyright notice was seen on Hannah Montana: Live in London and the UK version of As the Bell Rings both on Disney Channel UK. It has recently been spotted on June 2018 airings of Lilo & Stitch: The Series on Disney XD USA (likely due to using 4:3 masters instead of the 16:9 ones). The DisneyChannel.com variant was seen on a November 2004 airing of Mulanas an accidental intermission bumper and also some Disney Channel promos at the time.

Editor's Note: This is a memorable logo for those who grew up with Disney Channel in the 2000s, thanks to its omnipresence.

Nicknames: "The Mickey Head II", "Shiny Mickey Head II", "The Banner II", "The Ribbon"

Logo: On a twinkling blue background, a blue ribbon appears and turns into the Mickey Mouse head from the last logo, but with a bit of a difference. The "OrIGInaL" banner drops down under the Disney Channel name, and doesn't wobble, so it comes to a complete stop. Instead of the water-like substance from the last logo, the inside of the Mickey Head has what appears to be a weird, beige semi-solid that morphs (almost like oatmeal).

Variants:
  • There is a prototype version of this logo that was either still with no banner, or cut short. It was only seen on Twitches Too, and early prints ofHigh School Musical 2 respectively. However, this logo "officially" debuted on January 25, 2008.
  • A widescreen version exists, with blue lines sandwiched on the left and right respectively. On the 2008 Disney Channel Games, it disappears, causing the Disney copyright notice to appear.
  • A prototype widescreen version exists, in which the Disney Channel logo is on the far left side of the screen, it also looks like the prototype version of the logo, there's no blue lines, and more of the background can be seen.
  • On The Cheetah Girls: One World, the "OrIGInaL" banner is absent.
  • On 16 Wishes, the logo has more noticeable differences like more of the background can be seen and thus causing the Mickey Mouse head to be smaller. The "OrIGInaL" banner can be seen more, the words are smaller, and just simply slides up. Overall, it looks incredibly cheap.
  • On current prints of Tiger Cruise, a longer version exists where the ribbon appears in the sky and the camera moves down, going to the normal logo's animation.
  • On current prints of the Kim Possible episode "The Big Job", an even longer version exists in which on a black and blue gradient background, with stars on the left side of the screen, the blue ribbon hits the near-center of the screen causing a bright star and flash to appear making the other little stars more detailed and the cloudy background to appear, going to the variant above animation.
  • On the 2009 special Disney's Friends for Change, the "OrIGInaL" banner is absent and the logo is in widescreen.
  • On some Disney Channel Original Movies (Geek Charming and Radio Rebel are some examples), the logo is cut short to the "OrIGInaL" banner appearing on the Disney Channel logo and is in slow-motion.
FX/SFX: The ribbon drawing itself, and the banner dropping down.

Music/Sounds: This logo had many music variants:
  • A breakbeat with a short techno redoing of the Disney Channel jingle. (Also used as promo music at the time.)
  • A sustained guitar note, which is actually taken from the last few seconds of the closing theme to Princess Protection Program.
  • The 2002 theme.
  • The short version of the 2002 theme (The one seen on newer prints of Lizzie McGuire).
  • The "Yeah! All right!" theme.
  • The short version of the aformentioned theme.
  • The closing theme of the show.
Availability: No longer current, but like the last logo, it used to be very common. It was seen on newer Disney Television Animation shows, starting with Season 2 of Phineas & Ferb and Fish Hooks, as well as early episodes of Good Luck Charlie, A.N.T. Farm, and Shake It Up!, among others. It was quietly retired in 2012, with the original movie Radio Rebel, and shows such as Gravity Falls, Austin & Ally, Dog with a Blog, and newer episodes of shows that previously used this logo are no longer using it. The "All right!" variant can be found on current prints of the Disney Channel Original Movies Quints and The Ultimate Christmas Present. The short version of the "All right!" variant can be seen on early episodes of Hannah Montana Forever. The 2002 theme variant can be found on season 3 and early season 4 episodes of Wizards of Waverly Place and current prints of Zenon The Zequel. The short version of the 2002 theme can be seen on the earliest episodes of Jonas. Strangely, on Disney Channel Spain prints of Stuck in the Middle, K.C Undercover, Best Friends Whenever, Dog With a Blog, Jessie, Liv and Maddie, Elena of Avalor, and Girl Meets World, this logo appears. US prints of all these shows don't have any Disney Channel logo at all.

Editor's Note: The animation in this logo feels much more stiff and less fluid than the previous logos.

Logo: On a pink background with outline of the dot of the i in the Disney Channel logo engrained, with little emojis floating on the bottom screen going right to left,a light blue tab with the dot of the i comes out and it becomes larger, turns yellow, and it now contains the 2014 Disney Channel logo in purple. The background becomes light blue while the tab then shrinks slightly and moves slightly to the left and a large purple tab with the words "ORIGINAL" in yellow comes out and goes to the right. The two tabs move down slightly and the background becomes gray.

FX/SFX: Everything, which is based off the 2017-2019 Disney Channel branding.

Music/Sounds: A techno remix of the Disney Channel theme which somewhat sounds like a slight remix of the guitar note in the 7th logo.

Availability: Common. It was only seen on the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awardsand the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards

Logo: In the center of a mostly blue background, with some light purple on the left side of the screen and some weird shapes all around, there's a yellow circle with a stylized Mickey Mouse hand giving a "thumbs up" sign. Suddenly, the circle and the hand zooms out to reveal the 2014 Disney Channel logo in blue, with the words having a blue-white gradient color. The word, "ORIGINAL" in a white crude font with pencil shading appears one-by-one with the letters zooming in and out rapidly. While that is happening, the background becomes purple with a stylized Mickey Mouse head (in the same style as the 'i" in "Disney" in Disney Channel's logo) showing the blue background. All around the screen, there's various items like a lightening bolt and a Mickey Mouse Ear Hat.

FX/SFX: Everything, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JbARXoqyrs" target="_self">which is based off the 2019 Disney Channel branding</a>.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the special.

Availability: Cuurent. It made its debut on the 2019 Radio Disney Music Awards and it's currently seen on the Latin American seriesBiaand the miniseries Shook.
