Background: DisneyToon Studios was established in January 2003, when a reorganization of Disney's animation studios resulted in Walt Disney Television Animation's "Video Premieres" unit, which had been producing direct-to-video (and occasionally theatrical) sequels to the company's animated classics since 1994, spinning off and being made a division of Walt Disney Feature Animation. On June 28, 2018, it was announced that DisneyToon Studios would be shut down, laying off over 75 employees. While the company used in-credit logos throughout their existence, they didn't use an animated logo until 2005.

Logo: On a white background, a red oval appears. Mickey Mouse peeks out of the oval, then climbs out of it. He proceeds to paint the words:

DiSNEYToon
S T U D I O S

with "DiSNEY" in it's corporate font. Mickey goes back into the oval, holds his hands up, and turns into a white silhouette.

FX/SFX: 2D animation. Character animation was done by Andreas Deja while Special/Visual Effects were done by Marvin Petilla.

Music/Sounds: An nice orchestrated theme that accompanies Mickey's actions.

Availability: Appears on many direct-to-video Disney films, such as the first three Tinker Bell movies. Also appears on later prints of earlier DisneyToon Studios films, such as post-2004 prints of The Lion King II: Simba's Pride and later prints of Return to Never Land, among others. It first appeared on Tarzan II and was last seen on Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue.

Editor's Note: Regardless of how one may feel about Disney's direct-to-video sequel period, this is still a very nicely-animated and well-orchestrated logo all around.

2nd Logo
(August 16, 2012-March 3, 2015)

<img align="bottom" alt="DisneyToon Studios (2013)" height="187" src="http://image.wikifoundry.com/image/1/ucepzhAOaDzoEbkCPnRZxg49192/GW338H187" title="DisneyToon Studios (2013)" width="338"/>

Logo
: On a black background, a light at the top of the screen rotates counterclockwise to reveal a parchment background, on which "Disney" is printed in its usual corporate font. The word "TOON", in similar font, is then wiped in next to "Disney" by a small sprinkling of fairy dust, and then the word "STUDIOS" in a plain font fades in below "DISNEYTOON", and continues to slowly zoom in until the logo fades out.

FX/SFX: Simple but effective CGI.

Music/Sounds: A calming violin piece, with sparkly sound effects accompanying the on-screen fairy-dust.

Availability: Seen on DisneyToon films from Secret of the Wings, to Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast.

Editor's Note: None.
