Background: CT USSR (Central Television by Gosteleradio of Union of Soviet Socalist Republics) is a former TV channel launched in 1938 (the company registered in 1957). It has the first and second learning Belarus programs of the country. It was closed in December 27, 1991 (when the USSR collapsed) and was replaced by Channel One Russia (formerly ORT).
