Background: Avalanche Home Entertainment was a division of Lions Gate Films that distributed smaller Canadian B-movies and independent films.

(1999-2001)

Logo
: On a rippling crystal blue background, we see part of the letter
"A" and a snow avalanche below it. The snow reveals the word "AVALANCHE" and is placed underneath the big "A". Then the snow disappears, and a bolt-like figure flashes in on top of the "A". The word "HOME ENTERTAINMENT" appears below under the line, and a byline saying "A DIVISION OF LIONS GATE FILMS CORP." There is a small LG lion standing near the byline.

FX/SFX: The rippling background, the avalanche, and the flash.

Music/Sounds: A dramatic horn tune ending in an orchestral hit, followed by an ethereal synth tune.

Availability: Uncommon. Appears on older VHS/DVDs like Tiger Claws 2, Cyber Vengeance, Expect to Die, Glam, Crisis, Shivers, Hitman's Run, Requiem for Murder and Papertrail, among others.

Editor's Note: None.
