2nd Logo
(1992-1995)
Logo: The chess pieces are back from the previous logo, but they are simplified and are embodied in a rounded gold square. Next to it is "PARK PLACE PRODUCTIONS" in gold with "Created By" above the logo.
Variant: For DOS games, the logo was given enhanced 3D look and the words "Created By" were gone.
FX/SFX: None.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Appeared on several games, mainly sports, for Genesis and SNES. Seen on Jeopardy! for Genesis, Super Slam Dunk for SNES and NHL '94 for DOS.
Background: Park Place was founded in 1989 and developed mainly sport titles. In 1993 it was named one of the biggest developers with 130 people staff. By the end of 1993 the company collapsed because publishers withdrew their contracts and payments were cut off. Several employees went to Sony Imagesoft. However, the name was used by Sony Imagesoft in several games until 1995.
