Background: EAI Interactive was formed in 1996 by Iowa software company Engineering Animation, Inc. EAI, wanting to broaden its scope of development, purchased a small video game developer in Salt Lake City, Utah headed by Bryan Brandenburg called Software Arts International. This new studio became the primary location of EAI Interactive's activities. In addition to game development, EAI's medical and scientific illustration team developed a variety of 3D interactive educational products. In 1999, it was bought out by Unigraphics Solutions, Inc.
