I really don't like the mask, it's scary!

OH MY GOD!!!!! It's that mask with a really mean and evil looking expression on it's face and that loud scary fanfare. First, the ball is bouncing up and down and a line that wipes in, Second, it falls in, Third, the screen turns white to black and the loud scary music come out of nowhere, DUN-DUN-DUN-DUN-DUUUUUUUN!!!!!, and the mask comes out of nowhere. This logo has 4 scary factors:1. Zooming Circles 2. Loud Scary Music 3. The Scary Mask with a really mean and evil looking expression on it's face and 4. Sometimes the mask says "Telecompany VID, presents!" in Russian I really feel bad for the people in Russia, that had to see this logo. They must've have nightmares! Even my favorite gaming heroes would take out that mask. 3 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

This is by far the scariest logo I have ever seen. That mask and the way it zooms in it's absolutely CREEPY

Join the club. While I don't really find it that horrifying, due to my jaded personality and such, I have to agree with you that the mask could prove to be quite jarring for viewers. I do, however, find the history behind this logo to be quite interesting.Oh yeah, and I'm back, the two or three of you that still remember me. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Hehe, there's a video on YouTube depicting "The BBC's New Logo," which is a VID spoof that features a Weeping Angel (from the "Doctor Who" episode "Blink") in full-on AAAARGH mode in place of the VID mask. (They should probably do a new one with a Smiler as the face...)

I've seen a still image of the logo in Lonney Tunes Intro Bloopers 3: Party Crashers. The fanfare is SCARY, and sounds like nobody but the Viacom logo can scare away ViD!

Also, I feel bad for Russian people seeing this logo. They must've had Ten-Thousand & A Million nightmares! I am half-scared of the logo. But the music is SCARY, It sounds more dramatic then the Paramount Television "Closet Killer" theme! I act too much like Courage The Cowardly Dog when it comes to these logos!

Poor Russian people. Russian people go to the theater. They see BNDSOUND and run away to Meuseum of Eastern Culture run away when seeing Philoshper. Yeesh! I think they actually TRIED to make the logo scary

VID had their own sound system called BNDSOUND. BNDSOUND's logo first features a black background with "This theater features..." then BNDSOUND fades in! Then it shows the BND mask for a really long time til the stupid movie starts. I've seen the logo before on YouTube as Rare BND Sound intro.

My opinion on BND is it's creepy, but not scary. I used to find it terrifying at, I dunno, age 12/13 when I first got into logos but nowadays I don't find it as creepy. But it would be creepier if the mask opened its eyes and screamed, kinda like the April Fools variant!
