Flashing "V of Doom"
Jun 22 2008, 1:54 PM EDT
Last week, I was watching "The Honeymooners" on The Comedy Network (that's the Canadian equivalent of Comedy Central, if you didn't already know). The credits roll, and what else do I see at the end but the old, infamous Viacom logo.
But there was something seriously strange about this logo. The background rapidly flashed purple, red and green like it was trying to induce a seizure in an epileptic. I really wish I could have recorded this. I'm thinking it was either a joke by someone at The Comedy Network, or the oddest mistake I've ever seen.

Wow. Never seen or heard of that logo before (I'm aware of the V of Doom but not a flashing version).

If you know, what's the episode title?

I believe it was "A Man's Pride" , which was apparently the last of the original 39 episodes. Do you find this valuable?

This is new for me. I remember the green variant of the videotaped "V of Doom" logo on "That Girl" on Chilean TV, and of course, the silent variants of the filmed "V of Doom" and the "V of Steel" logos, the first from the TV movie "The Autobiography of Jane Pittman" (1974) on Space channel various years ago and the second logo from the (original) indie-movie "The Stepford Wives" (1975) on CineCanal channel the last year respectively, but the "flashing" variant I've never seen on TV honestly.
Thanks for the curious info.

P.D.: Can you post this rare logo on YouTube or a similar page?

I'd love to post it, but I wasn't recording it. I certainly wasn't expecting anything like that to show up on my screen.
It's at times like these I wish I had TiVo.
