May I clarify?
I was trying to say the 2nd CBS/Fox logo was on my 1984 VHS of The Empire Strikes Back. Sorry about my lack of clarity earlier.

MGMF's Choices On UGLY, SICKLY, And FREAKY Logos
TheMGMFreak
Warner Bros./Vitaphone (Redrawn Ver. Of An LT Short): The logo is so low-budget and freaky! It's scary for a redrawn version!
Fox Video (1993): That green is SICK!
BMD: That mask is ugly!

Different variant of 1993 logo

Edit on 4th Fox Video logo
4th Logo
(1995-March 1998)
Nicknames: "CGI Searchlights II", "Fox Structure IV"
Logo: We begin by panning across the Los Angeles skyline at around sunset. We see a spotlight and then pan across the "FOX VIDEO" structure, now redone so that it looks a lot better. We zoom out until we reach the comfortable Fox logo distance.
FX/SFX: The computer animation, which is now a variation of the Fox Searchlight animation.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Uncommon; this logo always came after the logo below. Seen on releases of the era such as Die Hard: With a Vengeance, Broken Arrow, Independence Day, Jingle All the Way, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, Goosebumps: The Haunted Mask, Short Circuit, the 1996 VHS of The Sound of Music, and the 1997 Star Wars Trilogy box set. Seen on all VHS tapes of the "Selections" series of 20th Century Fox films. The "original" Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition VHS in Canada (at least), as well as the widescreen edition of the "original" Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition VHS, featured both this logo and the 1995-2006 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment logo. Look for a screencap of this logo (some using the 1991 print logo!) used on the packaging. One of the last releases to use this were very early prints of Anastasia. Strangely, this logo can be also found on Netflix's print of Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing.
Scare Factor: None to minimal; harmless logo, not ugly at all this time.

Edit on 1st USA logo
1st Logo
(1995-2006, 2008)
Logo: We see the end of the 1994-2010 Fox logo, with no News Corporation byline. We then zoom out, to reveal that it is in a box. The box is in a larger box, and next to the Fox logo box are the words "20th Century Fox Home Entertainment", spanning across three lines.
Variants: An extremely rare variant exists on a 1998 trailer for The Grapes of Wrath that features spotlights around the box. On some releases, the logo faded in from black rather that cutting in from black.
FX/SFX: A simple zoom out. It's smoother than it's successor...
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: No longer current, but still common on VHS and DVD releases from the period. Appears on releases such as: the John Hughes remake of Miracle on 34th Street, Independence Day, Casper: A Spirited Beginning, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, The Crucible, King Kong Lives, Tai-Pan, Pelle the Conqueror, Maximum Overdrive, Crimes of the Heart, Titan A.E., Jingle All the Way and Goosebumps videos. Only available in the USA and Canada, and still very easy to find in those areas. But outside the USA, this logo can be seen on video releases of Casper TV movies of the era and seen on The Simpsons and Futurama DVDs from the era. The last title to have this logo was American Dad! Volume 3 on DVD. Was also spotted on a print of Wallace and Gromit: A Close Shave. The version where the logo faded in from black can be seen on the VHS releases of Die Hard with a Vengeance and Doctor Doolittle. Strangely, this logo can be also found on Netflix's print of Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing.
Scare Factor: None, the cut from black is sudden and jarring, and may catch some viewers off-guard.

2nd Alternate Fox Video Logo
2nd Logo
(1991, Alternate)
Nicknames: "Print Logo on Trailer"
Logo: It's basically the Fox Video print logo of the time. It begins by taking up the whole screen, but zooms out until it is an a box in the center of the screen.
FX/SFX: None.
Music/Sounds: The end theme of the trailer.
Availability: Rare; seen on the trailer for the Shirley Temple collection VHS box set that can be found on the VHS releases of Mrs. Doubtfire and the John Hughes remake of Miracle on 34th Street.
Scare Factor: None.

Edit on 3rd international logo
3rd Logo
(2009-2010)
Logo: Same as the 2nd logo, but when the 1994 logo is formed, the words "HOME ENTERTAINMENT", in metallic gold, zoom out below the logo (without the News Corporation byline), and the streaks of orange and blue all disappear at the end.
FX/SFX: Same as the 2nd logo.
Music/Sounds: The 1997 fanfare arrangement.
Availability: Once again, only used outside North America. Like before, this was also used on a few Canadian releases. Check on a Canadian DVD copy of "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" for this logo.
Scare Factor: None.

1st Logo
1st Logo
(1980's)
Nicknames: "The Director's Block", "The Slateboard", "The Clapboard", "The Movie Clapper"
Logo: On a blue gradient background we see a movie clapper with the words "CHECK YOUR LOCAL VIDEO STORE FOR DETAILS" in it, which later fade into the CBS/FOX logo (without the word "video") and then the words "FEATURE PRESENTATION". Then the movie clapper claps and we fade out.
Variant: There is a short version in which "CHECK YOUR LOCAL VIDEO STORE FOR DETAILS" is missing.
FX/SFX: The shining and the clapping.
Music/Sounds: An announcer says "Check your local video store for details. And now, for our feature presentation.", followed by a clap. On the short version, the announcer just said "And now, for our feature presentation."
Availability: Rare; it was seen on the original VHS release of A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, and the short version can be seen on A Fish Called Wanda.
Scare Factor: Minimal.

Second 20th Century-Fox Video Logo!
This one is a very rare one, as it was only used outside North America! If someone out there has a Betamax copy of "High Anxiety", please post photos and videos of this logo to this page immediately. The music for this one is the CinemaScope extension of the 20th Century Fox fanfare.
