Background: Ziv International was formed by composer Mark Mercury in 1978 to produce and distribute mainly americanised versions of Japanese anime series, and also, some TV movies. This company is not to be confused with Ziv Television Programs, which was merged with United Artists Television in 1960. That company is now owned by MGM Television under the ownership of Sony, Comcast, and their partners.

Logo:
  • Opening: On a dark cyan background, a large, stylized “ZIV”, in gold, zooms up. The word "International”, in script, is seen below, with “PRESENTS” underneath.
  • Closing: It has the words “ZIV International” on a plain blue or green background.

FX: All the animation in the logo.

Music: A weird 3-note tune. In other cases, it's silent.

Availability: Extinct. However, it was seen generally on various anime cartoons of the era, such as Little Lulu, Angel, Fables of the Green Forest, and Captain Future among others.

Scare Factor: Low, because of the logo zooming up.
