I also personally like the 1985 touchstone television logo, seen at the end of home improvement.

Dear CLG Wiki:
My favorite studio logo is Lorimar-Telepictures. When I say that name, I'm not talkin' about the prototype logo, I'm talkin' about the finalized one. I like that logo because of how magnificently they did it and seeing both company names "Lorimar" and "Telepictures" in their retrospective late-1970s fonts. And I like the music as well, even if it's synthesized. I've seen this logo on most movies and TV series done in the late '80s, especially in '80s Rankin/Bass cartoons "ThunderCats" and "SilverHawks." I sure miss L-T. I'd love it if Warner Bros. brought this logo back, but retooled it for the 21st century (a combo of claymation and CGI is the perfect blend for the logo's resurgence), and the music, composed by John Parker and Mark Snow, to be rerecorded faithfully by somebody else who's experienced in the synth field. I don't get why some people fear the logo and music at all. I have absolutely no fear of neither. Good-bye now, and thank you. |
