On the VHS trailer for "Uncle Buck" (1989), the "MCA HOME VIDEO" logo was in blue and slides in from the left on a black background. This variant is nicknamed "The Blue MCA".

There is a prototype version where the MCA/Universal Home Video logo looks pinkish. This can be seen on the trailer for "Back to the Future: Part II" (1989).

On the trailer for "An American Tail" (1986), there is another variant of the first MCA Home Video logo where the "MCA HOME VIDEO" logo was in gold and on a black background. This variant is nicknamed "The Gold MCA". The animation also compares to the next MCA Home Video logo.

The MCA "Rainbow" logo is so cute!! I love this logo, mainly my children may love the rainbow font. It is less scary for me, because of the font colors, the funny synth music, and the flashes.

Wait a minute. Was "PGatSW" really distrubuted by Universal? Because all the other Pokemon films were from Disney.

Hi,
I have a question about The Blues Brothers VHS: When was it first released? Was it first released during the 1980-83 timeframe (under the MCA Videocassette label) or was it first released during the 1983-90 timeframe (MCA Home Video)? Meaning: did any of the pre-MCA/Universal Home Video logos appear on this VHS? Thank you, Ben Edge

What MCA/Universal Home Video logo did they use on the 1994 VHS of "Jurassic Park"? The 1st logo or the 2nd logo?

In the second logo description for Discovision, you said in one of the varients: "If played on a non-DiscoVision player, the text crawl animation is skipped over, leaving just the colors opening up." Do you mean a LaserDisk player?
(I persionaly like DVDs better, LD is soo old school.)
