Background: Trimark Pictures was founded in 1985 by Mark Amin, and debuted in 1988 as a movie company by Vidmark Entertainment to produce and distribute genre and lower-budget movies until 2000 when it was absorbed by Lions Gate Entertainment. Currently Mark Amin is a member of Lions Gate's board of directors.

(1988-2001)
Trimark Pictures/Vidmark Entertainment - CLG Wiki

Nickname: "Lion Triangle"

Logo: Over a black background, we see gold stripes coming from the bottom of the screen. They turn to the right and form a triangle. The profile of a lion's head is revealed through "wind" effects. "TRIMARK PICTURES" wipes in below.

Earlier Variant: Originally, t
his logo faded out to make room for the next phrase "A Division of VIDMARK". This variant was used from 1988 until 1995.

FX: The stripes flying, the lion appearing, text fading in.

Music/Sounds: A synthesizer that mixes into a triumphmant fanare with a boom. There is also a variant of it, in which the music is higher pitched, the end is longer, and instead of a "boom", there is an odd, Worldvision-esque "WHOOSH".

Availability: Very uncommon, because this company was absorbed by Lions Gate Entertainment in 2000. However, it was seen intact on some movies, such as Warlock (1988), Leprechaun (1993) and The Dentist (1995) among others. This made a surprise appearance on Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal (2001).

Scare Factor: Low to medium; the dark nature and ominous music could get to some.
