Logo descriptions by Matt A., James Fabiano and Adam P. Logo captures by Bob Fish, Mr. Logo Lord, V of Doom and others Editions by Shadeed A. Kelly and V of Doom
Background: This was the joint venture syndication unit of Time-Life, Inc. and Telepictures Productions.
(1995-2003) Nicknames: "The Changing "T", "That Logo From Extra"
Logo: On a black background, we see a white box with a black "T" in the font used for Time magazine, then it disappears in Alan Enterprises-like animation, and then it becomes a "T" in the font used for Telepictures (a bold face of Futura), with the same animation, as itthen disappears with the same animation, then the text "TIME-TELEPICTURES"TIME-TELEPICTURES Television" appears below the logo. A white box is used for the word "TIME", while "TELEPICTURES" used a white line under it.
FX/SFX: The changing "T" and the text appearing.
Music/Sounds: Usually just the end title theme from the show playing over the logo. However, on some Sports Illustrated tapes during the mid-90s, it had a jingle consisting of various mechanical grunting noises.
Availability: Extinct. Was on 1995-2003 episodes of Extra, the first season of Celebrity Justice, the final two seasons of Jenny Jones, the first two seasons of Judge Mathis, and very early episodes of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The TTT name was retired in 2003, and, consequently, replaced with the regular Telepictures logo. The TTT logo will probably never be seen again outside of tapes and the Internet. A clue for those who want to see this: shows that had it (at least Extra did) have a copyright in the end credits for "TTT West Coast".
