Nicknames: OU Shield, Appearing/Dissapearing Shield

Logo: On a coloured background (The colour depends on the network) with the channels logo beneath, a coloured circle spins slowly into view before dissappearing. As it finishes dissappearing, a shield forms in the same colour as the circle, with the circle reappearing, now in the colour of the background.

Closing Variant: When the OU finished up for the day, a breif announcement was made before the logo played out in reverse.

FX: The circle and shield appearing on screen, decently animated for its time.

Music: Like it's predecessor, the music for the logo is the first five bars of Divertimento for Three Trumpets and Three Trombones composed by LeonardSalzedo.

Availability: Extinct on TV. Andrew Wisemans's Television Room contains Flash-rendered versions of the logo complete with it's signature jingle, so it's worth a look for nostalgia's sake.
