Nickname: Static Star
Logo: In the center of the screen, we see an orange oval (resembling an eye) that has been cut horizontally into several pieces. This is surrounded by a chyron pentagon turning clockwise. As the shape is turning, the sides of the pentagon fold and form a star. The words TELEVISA (stacked in a fat & blocky font) appears below the oval.
FX/Cheesy Factor: The star, for its time and place, is decent. The company logo and name are poorly superimposed.
Music/Sounds: Some 'popping' synth noises folowed by a female announcer saying "Televisa Presenta..."
Availability: Not as rare as one would think. This is still on early episodes of "El Chavo del 8"; which is still being reran in every country in North & South America.
Scare Factor: Low.

From what I've seen, the 1st logo is pretty much extinct on American TV. I haven't seen the logo in years, and every current print of El Chavo del 8 shown on Telefutura and Galavision plasters the 1st logo with the current one. I don't know about the DVD release, though.
