Background: TeleVentures was originally a joint venture distributor between Tri-Star Television, Stephen J. Cannell Productions, and
Witt-Thomas Productions, merging after to Columbia Pictures Entertainment (now Sony Pictures Entertainment) around the early 1990s. The name is part of Sony Pictures Television.

1st Logo
(1988-1990)

TeleVentures - CLG WikiTeleVentures 1988-bTeleVentures (1987)

Nicknames: "The Conjoining Shapes", "TV"

Logo: On a dark blue (or black)black background, two shapes that come from the bottom left and right of the screen join in the center of the screen, and "TeleVentures" wipes below.

FX/SFX: The shapes joining, and the "TeleVentures" wipe effect.

Cheesy Factor: The "TeleVentures" name wipe effect looks very unprofessional.

Music/Sounds: A creepy organ stinger, which at first, kind-of sounds like Vin Di Bona's jingle.

Availability: Still intact on three episodes of My Two Dads on DVD by Shout! Factory under license by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Scare Factor: Low to medium; the organ may creep people out.

2nd Logo
(1990-1991)
TeleVenturesTeleVentures

Nicknames: "Gold TV", "TeleVentures Trail"

Logo: On a black background, we see the name "TELEVENTURES" in 2-D in gold swinging down with a trail effect from the top to the bottom of the screen. We later see a gold version of the TeleVentures logo fading in above the name with sparkle effects on the logo and name.

FX/SFX: The TeleVentures trail effect.

Music/Sounds: Most of the time, it's silent. Other times, it has a saxophone theme.

Availability: Rare, was last seen on Werewolf on Chiller. The silent version is intact on one episode of S1 of My Two Dads on DVD.

Scare Factor: Depends on the logo:
  • None to minimal without the music.
  • Minimal with the sax theme.
