Nickname: "Silver Rectangle"
Logo: We start out with a starry sky background. A silver/gray octagonal rectangle shifts up. Then "STARMAKER" in a stylized font with a line under it, but the bottom V of the M overlaps it, making it "cut open", shifts down to on the rectangle. The name then shines with pings.
FX: The animation in the logo.
Cheesy Factor: The stars look like the fakest things in the world. The animation is cheesy, as well as the chroned-in trademark (TM) symbol fading in...
Music/Sounds: A synth chord starts, then low-synth beeps and 3 "pings" in sync with the shining.
Availability: Although the company no longer exists, and the company is now Anchor Bay/Starz Home Entertainment, this can be found on tapes from the period (mainly budget versions of the post 84' New World library), even some co-released by Video Treasures and some early Anchor Bay releases!
Scare Factor: Low to medium; the music and logo may scare some.
