Background: Speedy Video is a Malaysian video retailer (similar to Blockbuster in the United States) that specializes in DVDs, Blu-Rays, Video CDs and CDs. They have also done various home media releases.

1st (known) logo
(1996-2009?)

Logo: On a cloudy green background, the camera pans down to show a shiny and featureless golden man in starting position for track and field on a pixelated black and yellow surface. The man starts running as the camera starts to pan/zoom until he is at the left side of the screen and he freezes mid-run. The blue word "SPEEDY", in a computerized font with green slashes in the two E's, slides in from the right and settles next to the man.

FX/SFX: The man running, the camera moving and the word sliding in.

Music/Sounds: A rising synthesized theme (sounding like the 1988 RCA/Columbia Pictures International Video logo theme at the beginning) with two synthesized orchestral hits, followed by 4 low choir notes (the last one held until the end).

Availability: Uncommon. Can be found on Video CD releases of Ultraman, their (infamous) dubs of Dragon Ball Z films and Tom & Jerry Kids.

Editors Note: None.

2nd (known) logo
(2009?-)
Speedy Video's new logo

Logo: In an all-white video store, we see a spherical object crashing into walls causing dents. It then goes to the DVD section and makes all the discs fly. We see a Blu-Ray, a DVD, a Video CD and a CD, and we then zoom out and go to the Speedy Video logo, in a design similar to the previous logo, this time looking more modern, and the yellow running man is now more detailed andsilver, is an outline and has been radically redesigned. Video in a script font appears below, as well as the company's website.

FX/SFX: Beautiful CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: A new-age theme.

Availability: Can be seen on the company's Blu-ray, DVD, Video CD and CD releases.

Editors Note: None.
