Sony Wonder
Logo descriptions and captures by Logoboy95
Editions by Shadeed A. Kelly and others
Video capture courtesy by Eric S.
Background: Sony Wonder was the children's music and home video arm of Sony Music (then Sony BMG Music), until it was moved to Sony Pictures Home Entertainment in 2007.
1st Logo
(1991-1995)
Nicknames: "Weird Sony Wonder Block", "The Cheesy Sony Wonder Logo"
Logo: On a white background, the Sony Wonder logo, shrunken, falls from the top-middle screen to the bottom-middle screen. once it hits the bottom, it bounces back up, spreading and widening itself as it goes. it then makes a stop in the middle. The end result is the Sony logo with a blue box with "WONDER" in a decorative font.
FX: The Sony Wonder logo bouncing, the spreading and widening.
Cheesy Factor: Very, VERY early computer effects. Too simple to be a '90s logo.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Rare; seen on pre-1995 Nickelodeon tapes from the era (however, they are out of print and hard to find, but you can find them easily on Amazon). The later Nickelodeon tapes (the ones that say "Nickelodeon Video") have the second logo.
Scare Factor: Minimal; it might surprise you when you first see it, but it's harmless.
2nd Logo
(1995-2006)

Nickname: "The Ribbon"
Logo: We see a cloudy background. The word "WONDER" (in a more simplified font from before), in a pink ribbon, then flies from the top-right to the bottom of the screen, and then the ribbon turns blue, and we see a CGI yellow sun appear in place of the "O" in "WONDER". The Sony logo fades in at the top of the ribbon.
Variants:
FX: The ribbon flying, the sun and the Sony logo both appearing.
Cheesy Factor: That sun in the ribbon is too choppy.
Music/Sounds: A 7-note flute tune, followed by a high dramatic tune.
Availability: No longer current since it was moved into Sony Pictures Entertainment (Classic Media and Sesame Workshop's deals were moved to Genius Products), but with the long use of this logo, this is easy to find, and can be seen on any Sony Wonder tapes and DVDs of the late '90s (such as Sesame Street videos and those by Classic Media).
Scare Factor: None; it's a clean (and cute) logo.
3rd Logo
(2006-2007)
Nickname: TBA
Logo: TBA
FX: TBA
Cheesy Factor: TBA
Music/Sounds: TBA
Availability: Uncommon.
Scare Factor: None to low.
