Nickname: "Extreme Letters"
Logo: On a white background, a blue "t" jumps out of nowhere. Then a blue "n" runs
by. Then a blue "o" rolls by as a blue "i" slides by while a blue "a" spins around. Then "i" comes back, trips, and loses its dot. Then a blue "m" dodges it and it hits the "a". The dot bounces of a ton of letters while the (now dotless) "i" tries to catch it. Then all the letters form and are revealed to be the letters in the word "animation". Then the words "SONY PICTURES" drop on the word animation. The logo slowly zooms out until it crashes.
Variants:
FX/SFX: Nice CGI animation.
Music/Sounds: First, we hear drum beats, then an odd-sounding fanfare. We then hear the sounds of a depressed crowd gasping as the letters crash.
Availability: Seen on Open Season, Surf's Up and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
Scare Factor: Low to medium; the letters may get to more than a few, but it's a feast for the eyes.

- Starting in 2009, the logo was given an enhanced look, and added the same animation. This variant first appeared on Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, which comes out on September 18, 2009. (This was plob.prob. from the trailer.)
