Scott Free Productions
Background: Scott Free Productions is a play on the 1957 BBC comedy series "Scott Free". It was founded in the UK by Ridley Scott.
(1996-)

Nicknames: "The Bird", "Man into Bird"
Logo: On a black background, a white flash appears on the top corner of the screen, sometimes colored olivish orange, and a man with a torch walks on screen. Then, as the man runs, the man transforms into an eagle, flying over the screen. The eagle transforms into a weird silhouette bird, and the text "SCOTT FREE" in a weird font appears around the bird.
Variations:
FX: The animation.
Cheesy Factor: The logo looks somewhat bizarre.
Music/Sounds: A musical piece played on a wind instrument, which is shortened on Numb3rs and is usually drowned out by generic CBS music (but is intact on the show's DVDs). It sometimes used the beginning of the movie's theme. On Black Hawk Down, the logo is silent.
Availability: Can be seen on such movies as Clay Pigeons, Black Hawk Down, Man on Fire, Domino, In Her Shoes, Kingdom of Heaven, A Good Year, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, and American Gangster. The short version can be seen on Numb3rs on CBS. On publicity for Scott Free films, the bird is regular-sized and the "SCOTT FREE" text is in the Times New Roman font.
Scare Factor: Median. It is concered that people may be spooked by the logo.

Variations:
- On Numb3rs, there is a short version, which starts right before the company name appears.
- In 2007, a brand new variation was introduced in front of The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. The "SCOTT FREE" name has been removed.
- On American Gangster, the logo is in black and white.
