1st Logo
(1982-1990)

Scholastic Productions - CLG Wiki

Nicknames: "80s Book", "Scholastic Book".

Logo: On a black background, we see a white book with the words "A SCHOLASTIC PRODUCTIONS PRESENTATION" (in a black weird font) and black filmstrips zooming out in each other. It then disappears, as the filmstrips fade out. Well, we see the word "
Scholastic" displayed below. "Scholastic" is in a red Times New Roman font.

Variant: A still variant with the filmstrips remaining, the left side of the book black and the right side red, and the text "Scholastic Productions and" under the book was seen.

Cheesy Factor: The book "zoom out" is very rough.

Music/Sounds: Silent. The theme song sometimes finishes, though.

Availability: Very rare. It's saved on the 1988 TV special, "Clifford the Big Red Dog". Also appeared at the end of "Charles in Charge" and "My Secret Identity" with the end theme.

Scare Factor: None.

2nd Logo
(1990-2000)
Scholastic (1995)
Nickname: "The Red Rectangle"

Logo: On a black background, we see a red rectangle fall down from the top of the screen. Then, the white text "SCHOLASTIC" starts sliding in from the right. The text and rectangle merge together. The book from the previous logo fades in next to the company name. The final product resembles the way the Scholastic logo looks on book covers.

Variants
: Goosebumps had their outro ending theme playing over the logo, which was first seen in the United States on Fox Kids.

FX: The rectangle falling, the text moving in.

Music/Sounds: A light piano theme, or the end theme of the show.

Availability: Extremely rare; as of nowadays, it can only be seen on Goosebumps reruns on Cartoon Network in the United States. However, Goosebumps, will not stay on CN's sheducle for much and will probably seen on October of next year. The version with the piano theme appeared on The Baby-Sitters Club which was last seen on Disney Channel in the late-90s. Easy to find in the United Kingdom because Goosebumps is reran frequently on Jetix UK there.

Scare Factor: None for the light piano theme because it sounds beautiful, but low to medium for the Goosebumps ending theme playing over it.

3rd Logo
(1994-1997)
Scholastic Productions (1994-1997)
Logo: We see the Scholastic logo set against a starfield with stars flying up.

FX: The stars moving.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen at the beginning of tapes of The Magic School Bus.

Scare Factor
: None.

4th Logo
(2000-2003)

Nickname: "The Strip"

Logo: On a black background, the Scholastic logo flies around before settling in the center of the screen.

FX: The flying logo.

Music/Sounds: None, but sometimes the theme song plays over.

Availability: Still preserved on re-runs of Clifford the Big Red Dog on PBS Kids and I Spy, the 2003 series based on the books on HBO Family.

Scare Factor: None.

5th Logo
(2003- )

Scholastic Productions - CLG Wiki

Nickname: "The Shining Logo"

Logo
: Over a black-red background, we see a glowing Scholastic logo.

FX
: The shining.

Music/Sounds
: None really, but sometimes it has an uplifting fanfare. Otherwise, the end theme finishes it.

Availability
: Appears on Clifford's Puppy Days and Maya & Miguel on PBS, and the version with the music can be seen on software produced by Scholastic.

Scare Factor
: None.
