Logo descriptions by V of Doom
SVS, Inc.
(1987-1990)
Nickname: “Blue SVS”.
Logo: On a black background, a blue “V” zooms away from the viewer and makes a dip to the center while two blue “S”s slide from behind the V, one going to the left, the other to the right. “Inc” slides from the bottom sideways to the right of the letters.
FX/Cheesy Factor: Simple, but effective animation.
Music/Sounds: A synthesized whoosh.
Availability: Hard to find, but can seen on 80s prints of The Snowman.
Scare Factor: Medium to high, because of the dark mood, fast animation, and the whoosh.

SVS/Triumph
(1990-1991)
Nickname: "Rotating SVS-Triumph Cube"
Logo: Same as RCA/Columbia Logo 2, only the cube now has a blue rectangle, with "SVS" in a serif font, then a line, then "TRIUMPH" underneath in a condensed font. There is a white border around each side.
Variant: New Line releases (Suburban Commando, Late for Dinner, etc.) have a still logo that lacks a border and contains some ugly "shining effects".
FX: Same as RCA/Columbia logo 2.
Cheesy Factor: A little better-looking than RCA/Columbia logo 2.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: The logo is very rare. This was a "bridge" between the RCA/Columbia and C-T eras, releasing Triumph's releases, and some "low-profile" Columbia and TriStar releases. The label disappeared in 1991 when Columbia-TriStar Home Video was formed, and the logo along with it: on post-summer releases by SVS Triumph (as well as the VHS prints of earlier releases), the RCA/Columbia or Columbia TriStar logo is used in lieu of this logo!
