Background: Republic Pictures Television was the television division of Republic Pictures originally formed in 1985 after National Telefilm Associates bought the company name and logo reforming the company. As far we know, they didn't actually used a proper logo, just the
Republic Pictures logo, silent, and in some cases, bylineless. Currently, the library is handed mainly by CBS Corporation, thru CBS Television Distribution and Republic Entertainment, Inc.

(1986-1987)

Republic Pictures Television (B&W, 1986)Republic Pictures Television "Eagle in the Sky" (1986-1987)

Nicknames: "The Eagle", "The Eagle in the Sky"

Logo:
A still shot of the 1986 Republic Pictures logo, but the text reads as "Distributed by REPUBLIC PICTURES" in a yellow-ish orange Times New Roman font.

Variant: A B&W variant of this logo was used for classic shows in B&W.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the show, or n
one.

Availability: Extinct. Was seen on Press Your Luck! (now owned by FremantleMedia) and mid 80s prints of Car 54, Where Are You? If the latter title appears on television again, it'll probably have either Republic Pictures 1992
or 1995 logos, the 1995 or 2003 Paramount Domestic Television logos, the 2006 CBS Paramount Television logos (either "Eye in the Sky" or "Wallpaper") or the CBS Television Distribution logo plastering it.

Scare Factor: None.

2nd Logo
(1987-1990)

Nicknames: "The Eagle II", "Enhanced Eagle"Republic Pictures TV: 1987-1990

Logo: We see the Republic eagle on a mountain with clouds on the bottom with "REPUBLIC PICTURES" underneath.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds:
None.

Availability: Rare. Currently seen on season 1 of the TV series Beauty and the Beast on Chiller, while the latter seasons has been
plastered in favor of the CBS Paramount Television or CBS Television Distribution logo.

Scare Factor: None.

3rd Logo
(1990-1995)
Republic Pictures (1992)

Nicknames: "The Eagle III", "The Silent Eagle", "The Restored Eagle"

Logo: On a blue sky background, we see the Republic eagle with the words "REPUBLIC PICTURES" at the bottom, with a Registered trademark Symbol.

FX/SFX/Cheesy Factor: The name fading in, or none.

Music/Sounds:
None.

Availability: Although plasters old logos, it's rare. Can be seen on the pre-1973 NBC catalog (such as Bonanza, Dr. Kildare and Little House on the Prairie, the latter premiering in 1974), and most of the Quinn Martin produced shows; but still saved on Bonanza VHS and DVD releases and when reran on TV Land, predecessing the 1995 Paramount TV logo.

Scare Factor: Low.

4th Logo
(1995-1998)
Republic Pictures Television "Silent Eagle II" (1995-1998)Republic Pictures (1995)

Nicknames: "The Eagle IV", "The Silent Eagle II", "CGI Eagle"

Logo: It's the finishing animation of the 1995 Republic Pictures logo, with "REPUBLIC PICTURES" fading in
without the Spelling byline.

Variant: There is a variant that features the Spelling Entertainment Group byline.

FX/SFX: The camera zooming in the eagle and the name fading in, or none.

Music/Sounds: The second half of the Republic jingle from the era. None for the bylineless version.

Availability: Rare, but seen on The High Chaparral when it was reran on The Family Channel in the 90s and Hallmark Channel from 2002-2003, and also on Kindred: The Embraced
.

Scare Factor: Low.
