Background: Regency Enterprises is a Los Angeles-based motion picture production company formed by Arnon Milchan and Joseph P. Grace. It was founded in 1982 as Embassy International Pictures, but the company name changed to avoid confusion with Norman Lear's Embassy Pictures. Its films were distributed by Warner Bros. until 1997, and by 20th Century Fox from 1998 to the present.

(1994- )
Regency Enterprises - CLG Wiki
Nicknames: "Northern Lights", "R2", "Fantasy", "The R that looks like a 2"

Logo: Over a black background, a light draws a stylized blue "R". As we pan out, the glowing from the R stops, and "REGENCY" turns toward us under the R. The logo shines.

Variants:
  • Down with Love (2003): The logo is tinted in pink, and a sexy saxophone rendition of the theme plays.
  • Deck the Halls (2006): The logo has regular animation, then snowflakes appear as the "R" turns red and white (think a candy cane) and the company name turns green, and finally at the end, the logo is frozen.
  • Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007): Normal in the feature. The trailer had the Regency logo black and white.

FX: The light effects.

MusicMusic/Sounds: Originally, it was silent. After, an orchestral tune with a flute plays when the "R" is drawn.

Availability: Appears on any film produced by Regency since 1994. Actually, most films are distributed by 20th Century Fox so this should be an easy find. Also, Guess Who was released by Columbia Pictures.

Scare Factor: None.
