Background: This is a film company owned by a man named Henry Jaglom, the director of Last Summer in the Hamptons, which is the only known film to have this logo.
(1995)
NOTE: The video also contains twothe Live Entertainmentlogos.logo. The Rainbow Releasing Productions logo starts at 0:13.
Nickname: "The Psychopath", "Evil Orson", "Jack Nicholson's Evil Cousin" "The Jesus Christ Man"
Logo: We see a psychotic-looking man with a fixated stare on his face (actually Orson Welles). He holds a small yellow box in his right hand. As the camera zooms in, the man is holding a small rainbow in his other hand, which he pulls completely out of the box. When the camera gets close enough, it freezes, and the words "A RAINBOW RELEASE" (in white) slowly appear letter-by-letter in an arc.
FX: It's mostly live-action.
Cheesy Factor: The whole thing looks like something out of the 1970s.
Music/Sounds: None, which adds to the creepiness!
Availability: Rare; seen on the 1995 film Last Summer in the Hamptons.
Scare Factor: High to nightmare; the EXTREMELY scary-looking gaze of Orson Welles along with the lack of music may scare plenty first-time viewers!
