Background: Radical Sheep Productions was a Canadian children's television series production company. Radical Sheep's most popular production is The Big Comfy Couch. Founded in 1985, the company also once housed the "Sheep Shop", which provided puppet construction and design services until 2003 when it closed its doors.

1st Logo
(1992-2002)

Nickname: "Baa!"

Logo: On a blue/black gradient background, we have the words "RADICAL SHEEP". Below it, the words "Radical Sheep Productions", in a red script font, are written.

Variants: Radical Sheep Productions (1993-2004)
  • On one episode of The Big Comfy Couch, during the "Baa!" sound effect, Molly (Loonette's doll) pops up in the bottom right corner of the screen.
  • On early episodes from 1994-1995, there's no fading.

FX/SFX: The "Radical Sheep Productions" name writing.

Cheesy Factor: The "RADICAL SHEEP" text is choppy and the logo's background looks a bit cheesy.

Music/Sounds: A music box rendition of "Mary Had a Little Lamb", followed by a lamb bleating.

Music/Sounds Variant: On early episodes, there's no audio.

Availability: This logo was only on the show The Big Comfy Couch. However, you can hear a soundbite over the website. The "Molly" variant is rare to find since it only appeared on one episode.

Scare Factor: Low, due to the music. Also, because it cuts rather jarringly into the YTV logo that follows it.

2nd Logo
(2002- )

Nickname: "Baa! II"

Logo: On a blue/white gradient background, we see a gray sheep with orange wings in the background and the text "RADICAL SHEEP" written below, with "RADICAL" in a futuristic font and "SHEEP" in between two curved lines.
Radical Sheep (2004)

FX/SFX: None.

Cheesy Factor: The sheep looks a little too shiny.

Music/Sounds: Same as the 1st logo.

Availability: Seen on
some episodes of The Big Comfy Couch along with Stella and Sam.

Scare Factor:
None to minimal; the "baa!" effect appearing all of a sudden might catch some people off guard.
