Logo description by gshowguy and Thisisanswer

1st (known) Logo
(1980s)

Logo: On a dark blue background, "PENTHOUSE" in a gold Helvetica font, zooms out. Then, an object that looks like three pink keys (which is Penthouse's logo)glued together zooms out as sparks write in the word "Video" in a fuschia cursive font. Then the logo flashes bright orange and pink and shines a few times while what look like spotlight beams (like in the 20th Century Fox and 1989 King World logos) shine all over.

FX/SFX: 80's computer animation, though not too bad for the time.

Music/Sounds: A catchy synth jingle, the same one used in the Viva Home Video logo.

Availability: Seen on Penthouse VHS releases from the 1980s, which are a tough find.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo
(1991-?)

PentHouse Video (1997?)

Logo: On a waving black background, 3 golden circles come in from all side of the screen. They then converge into a straight line as a bar and 3 objects come in. The objects, circles, and bar then lock into place, zooming out as it reveals the 3 objects also have boxes with the male sex symbol, in which the other part is the female sex symbol, forming the Penthouse logo. The keys turn and we zoom through one of the holes. A burst of light happens as "PENTHOUSE" zooms in the same font as before. "VIDEO" then appears as the keys then move up into place.

FX/SFX: The "CGI" is not that bad, but "VIDEO" appears to be chyroned in. Note that the information is coming off the Penthouse Interactive logo, though, so data may not be completely accurate.

Music/Sounds: A dark synth tune with dings that becomes a triumphant synth fanfare.

Availability: Seen on Penthouse VHS releases from the 1990s,

Editor's Note: None.
