(1989-1998)
Nickname: "Transparent Blue P-Head on Video"
Logo: We fade to a P-head on a sky background. The lines from the 4th PBS logo come from the right side of the screen and go into the P-head's eye, after which the sky background fills the screen and the P Head reverts to its color from the 4th logo as "PBS HOME VIDEO", in aqua blue with rippling waves, fades in at the bottom of the screen.
FX/SFX: The sky, the lines, the fade-in of "PBS Home Video".
Music/Sounds: A quiet piano sounder, followed by an announcer saying "The following presentation is from PBS Home Video.". Some tapes lack the announcer.
Availability: On PBS Home Video tapes from Pacific Arts and Turner Home Entertainment.
Scare Factor: None.
2nd Logo
(1998-2009)
Logo: On a white background, three P-head circles (one red, one green, and one blue) merge to form a purple P-head circle. When "PBS HOME VIDEO" ("PBS DVD" on DVD releases) fades in, the P-head circle turns black. There are also 4 other variants in addition to this which is still shown in some areas where the whole circles are tinted the same color and fade into black. There is blue, red, green and purple.
FX/SFX: The merging of the circles.
Music/Sounds: A remix of the 8th PBS logo's jingle.
Availability: On PBS Home Video and DVD releases from Warner Home Video.
Scare Factor: None.
3rd Logo
(2004- )
Logo: On a blue/purple/red ethereal background, a P-head circle appears. "Be More" appears to the left, and "PBS" to the right. Sometimes, only "PBS" appears.
FX/SFX: The appearance of the logo.
Music/Sounds: Same as the 9th PBS logo.
Availability: On PBS DVD releases from Paramount Home Video.
Scare Factor: Minimal; the music might wake you up.
